Distance from LM rooms at AOA to Main Building

Hi there...Wondering about the distance in real terms from LM rooms to the main building for drinks etc? I have read here that it is FAR to walk. Our first time at Disney we stayed at CBR and were in Aruba. We had two leave our room walk across the lake thru Caribben Cay then on to the Building. We liked the walk and didn't find it far. Was really only about 7-10 minutes maybe?? Anyway, what would the LM walk be like in time?? Does any one know??

You're gonna get a lot of opinions on this.. There was a thread just recently where a poster returned from a stay with a "Nope, never again" for the Little Mermaid Rooms. They felt it way far removed from the main building etc. Others posted in that same thread they didn't find it too bothersome.

I have been to the property and walked the distance between the LM rooms and the main hall for AoA. I didn't care for it much myself but it was doable and eventually I will book a room there and the LM's are a better fit for me since I'm not a family of six. Just the two of us.

Since you didn't mind the walk at CR, you're probably gonna be just fine with it.

I stayed in Cars but our friends were in LM. The walk to bldg 7 from the lobby was about 6 minutes for us, From Cars Bldg 2 to LM Bldg 7 was about 10 minutes. It was doable. It has been a very long time since I have been to CBR but I always felt like the walk was very long there if you got certain islands.

We just returned from LM rooms, Building 8, which is the farthest building. From the back of the main building's door to the elevators in Building 8, it is 6 minutes and 10 seconds at a leisurely pace. So add on a little bit more, depending where your room is in Building 8. Not too bad, yet far enough away we only used our refillable mugs once.

We visited AOA back in September and walked to the LM rooms to scope it out as we planned on staying there next visit and I can say that with two 4yos that fall asleep and need to be carried back at night, we won't be staying there. And if we went in the summer heat we would also not stay there. If the kids were older and I know they would be walking back without being carried, I would think about it, but I think it's a bit far to fill up your drinks.
