Distance from 1300 Loop

I believe our request is for the 1300 loop.
How far away is the boat dock from this loop.
Is it easily walkable or is it quite a hike?

We plan to bring bikes.
Would you recommend riding them to the dock and can we lock them up at the dock?

1300 is pretty close to smack dab in the middle. See this map.

Walkable... but not so fun after a full day in the parks. Bikes should get you there quite nicely! I believe there are places near the marina to park/lock up your bikes, but I'll let others confirm that.

We were in 1331 this past Nov. and really liked this loop! It was a great loop and central to everything. The only downside was being on the orange bus route. If you have bikes then you will be set and you won't have to endure the long ride through the cabin loops and to the Wilderness Lodge every time! We stopped using the bus after our first couple of days except for the campfire and going to the Marina for MK.

You can easily bike to the pool, meadow's TP and campfire and to either the settlement or outpost. We walked to the pool and Meadow's from our site but it was too far for us to walk to everything else. We drove to all the parks except MK after riding Disney Transportation for what seemed like forever a couple of days and realizing there is something to this driving thing! It was the first time we didn't leave the truck at the site for the whole trip, but we got really tired of it taking 45min. to 1 hour to get to a park that is 15 min. away!

There is a place next to the bus stop at the settlement and one at the marina for you to leave and lock up your bikes.

Gosh, sorry I'm so late! From the farthest site in 1300, taking the walk past the Meadow Trading Post, continuing down Fort Wilderness Trail, to the end of the dock is right at 8/10ths of a mile. About 7/10ths to the Settlement Trading Post, Crokett's and Hoop-Dee-Doo.

I'll jump in here and say that from the main road that access loops 1200 and 1300 by the playground it is almost 0.75 miles according to my gps website. There is sidewalk paved all the way and it is, of course, flat. There are bike racks near the fence at the marina and if you bring your own lock/chain you can secure them on the rack or on the fence (I've seen it both ways).

It's very walkable and in the early mornings it will be shaded as well. It might be a nice way to start your day. Don't stress if you start walking and a bus passes you two minutes later. Either way (walking or biking) would be fine and easy.
