Distance Around EPCOT?

Has anyone here every measured the distance from EPCOT's front gate, all the way through future world (using the route that takes you on either side of the fountain... no side trips to the TT area or The Land part), then across the bridge and all the way around the World Showcase and back to the front gate?

When I was there the other day I walked around the entire park. It seems like miles but I wonder.

Total distance - Starting [Epcot Main] Gate through [Innoventions] around lagoon, through [Innoventions] and back to Main Gate - 8,500 feet (1.6 miles)

Seems like more, I know, but it's not.

I've seen the distance listed just for around WS waterway as 1.1 to 1.3 miles. I think depending on whether you are closer to the water (the smaller part of the circle) or closer to the buildings (a larger circle).

1.1 to 1.3 sounds about right -- that leaves about a third of a mile from the main gate to the Showcase Plaza and back.
