Dissers Lime Green Identification

I hope all Dissers are going to wear their lime green to identify themselves as our computer friends while at WDW. I just came up with a great idea and it looks fantastic. Yesterday I found a roll of lime green "curling" ribbon. You know, the kind that you use a scissors or knife to make the ribbon curl up. Well I cut a bunch of strips...ran them through a safety pin in the middle and then "curled" them. Now I can pin this on my backpack, both front and back and go off hoping to see other dissers. I hope this is an idea that others might use. It is cheap, easily identifiable, and really looks neat.

What a great idea! Thanks for sharing! Thanks to several of the faboo folks on the board (you know who you are!) I've been sent a great supply of various green Mickey Heads (I don't live in an area where it's easy to get to/find a Home Depot). So I'll be sportin' the green and keeping my eyes peeled! If you see someone wearing a cap that says Luke's (as in Luke's Diner from The Gilmore Girls) or Americana Vineyard... hey, kids, that's me!

I recently bought two DisShop buttons, a lime green lanyard and a keychain. My DD didn't want a lanyard so she can put the keychain on her fanny pack. Plus we have our Mickey Heads.

If you see us, give us a holler, we will be there Nov 26th to Dec 3rd.

We leave in a couple of days - YEAH!!!!

I cut out the Home Depot Mickey's and glued them onto pinback buttons, so we can pin them to our shirts and backpack. I also wrote "DIS" on them. I bought a DIS shirt too, though a gray one, not a green one.

Definitely say hi if you see us.

I brought home lime green mickey heads from Home Depot as well. My 12 y.o. DS was horrified! He thought I was planning on painting his ROOM that color I'll be making a pin out of it......

As you can see, we're nearly on our way, have to get up at 3AM tomorrow, yikes.

I have my Home Depot Mickey sewn on my fabric camera case, if you see me, say hi! This is our first trip since I've become aware of these boards! I've learned a lot and look forward to meeting you all!

I always have a lime green button on my backpack that says "DIS Princess Michelle" (thanks Towncrier! ) so if anyone sees me feel free to come say hello and I'll do the same!

Before I bought my DIS button at the DIS Shop, that is exactly what I did! Lime Green curling ribbon! And there is enough to last you for several trips!

Okay guys, I understand LIME GREEN is your color. Tell me about the Mickey heads at Home Depot. What are they and where are they? Only thing I can think of are antenna toppers. HELP! I'm in my final months countdown and I want to 'join you'.

THe Mickey heads are paint swatches from the Disney paint collection. Just go to the paint department. They have a big display with samples of all the different colors. The DIS colors are either Alien Green or Sonic Boom. (Think Goofy's hat).

I have a lime green ribbon tied to both my fanny pack & also my pool bag. I have had them there the last 3 trips (a total of about 5 weeks time). I have never run into another DISer yet.

I'll still have them on this time though. I'll keep my eyes open for other lime green things.

So that's what the Home Depot Mickey Heads are!!!! For some reason, I had pictured these lime green, Mickey eared, hard hats and for the life of me wondered why anyone would want to walk around WDW with that on! It makes a lot more since now!!! Silly me.

I have my lime green lanyard from DISCON II and my figmentvi button (thanks Towncrier !!) along with lots and lots of lime green curling ribbon.

DH and went from 10/15-10/24. I wore my official lime green DIS fanny pack each day at the parks. I didn't meet ONE fellow DISer. I looked for hints of lime green so I could say "HI". I saw a group with lime green T-shirts, but it was for a non-DIS gathering. I was really looking forward to meeting some of you, especially since so many DISers were going he same time we did. DH and I had a great time anyway, and we met really cool, friendly people there from the UK and Germany.
I hope the rest of you have more luck and friendllier experiences than I did .

We leave in nineteen days and will be decked out with ribbon. We are staying at Ft. Wilderness and will be driving a lot. I'll have the ribbon on my truck's antennae and on the golfcart around FTW. We have run into several DISers on our trips. We'll be looking for more!
