dissapointed

Weather beyond 5 days is complete guesswork. You will probably see them alter it near you get. Our Feb trip did not look great weather at all 10-12 days out then each day we got nearer they kept improving the forcast, when we got there it was 80-85 every day and no rain.

As others have said expect an afternoon shower, its normal and quite welcome in that heat.

If you are very unlucky rain can last more than a few hours, usually its a 10 min downpour and gone.

hey wayneg. have you been in sep/oct or nov before and how do the crowds compare to february?

its hard being a ginger and trying to avoid sun and also being a hermit and trying to avoid people :)

thanks

the crowds in sept/oct/nov are great...that is, they're low...
at least that has been my experience...
other than the week around thanksgiving in november...
but early/mid november is great....and last time i was there in november (2 years ago) it was cold - i had to wear a jacket/long trousers and closed shoes...the most enjoyable time i've had in the parks in years and years....the perfect weather for the parks (though not for swimming....it was way too cold to swim that year...though there were some brits in the pool)...

the crowds in sept are also low, but the weather is still very hot...
but better to have hot weather and no crowds than hot weather and crowds (like in the summer)....

october was somewhere in between the two....low crowds (though not quite as low as sept) and nice weather (nice, but not too hot)..

i would be more than happy to go sept, oct or november..
alas, we are stuck going in august this year due to one teacher in the family...
hopefully we can get her to switch professions for 2012 :)

Beth has covered your question, Sept and well into Oct are still hot temps, starts to cool down late Oct into Nov.
Oct is our Fave month to go.

We've had this weather prediction every time we've been to Orlando. As everyone else has said, usually this means a 4pm thunderstorm, usually fairly short. To avoid them, sometimes we have an early dinner or make sure we are queing at 4pm for an indoor attraction.

oh god i completely worded my question wrong. it sounded ok in my head.

ive been in sep, oct and nov and wondered what february was like compared to those months

sorry

awkward

:(

thank you though beth. i now know who to come to for a detailed explanation of all my holiday queries

Don't worry we all word things incorrectly at times.
Feb is totally unpredictable, it can be really cold every day or like this year it really nice weather, we had temps about 85 every day and it was perfect, we went expecting to wear longs and fleeces so it was i nice surprise.

ok great

thanks for that. i did read that october was your favourite month.

i love the halloween themes too

boo to you (not so very scary)

oh god its in my head already

Its now 5 days away from the 18th, no signs of the weather breaking according to the Orlando Sentinel
"Weather: It's hot, dry and getting worse
The rainy season is late, meaning wildfire-friendly conditions will persist."

"The high temperature Sunday at Orlando International Airport was 97 degrees"

With the total absence of summer here for the third year running, I would happily take the 100 degrees. Heck I will even take the humidity with it.

So was it hot then Beth? ;)

hades hot....
if you're in need of some hot weather, you can always come visit me...i'm closer than mickey (though not as much fun :goodvibes )

We've been in June once and it's seriously hot. Unbearably hot for me as I was pushing my father in a wheelchair, having to dodge Brazilian tour groups. It does rain most days (usually between 3pm-4pm) but the rain dries really quickly with the heat.

I remember driving back from Kennedy Space Centre and not being able to see the lights of the car in front due to torrential rain. I've never seen rain like it, and i've lived in Scotland for 30 years :scared1:
