We just bought a small contract through Jerry at the Timeshare Store and closed with Brenda at Magic Vacation Title a few months ago and both were over the top (in a good way) with communication and updates. There were many times both would email me with updates one right after the other.
With such a small purchase I half expected to be overlooked, but with the service and attention we received you would have thought we were making a $20,000 purchase.
It's very possible your emails or your agents replies have been caught in a spam filter somewhere. It's happened enough to me at work that when it seems someone is ignoring my emails I give them the benefit of the doubt and call instead (even though I passionately hate phone calls).
Email isn't really a reliable form of communication. It's convenient, but not reliable. Like asking my (sweet, wonderful) husband to pick up milk on the way home.

It's great when he remembers, but not shocking when he forgets.
I know they're only human and bound to drop the ball occasionally, but I'd be really shocked if a TSS agent was knowingly leaving you out of the loop.
I am glad everything worked out for the OP. I hope you have a great time on your trip!
