Thousands of different brands on the market...what is your favorite brand? It's been a long time since I have had to buy these and I'm looking for advice

If these are a gift you might want to re-think it. If they are for you don't buy a lot.

I have a baby, 4 months old. A lot of moms I know have had problems with various brands. 1 mother I know her child got a terrible rash from Pampers, another from Huggies. Personally, I found (with the older kids) that Luvs leaked.

Now if you are really set on buying diapers, or have to, I am using Target brand on the recommendation of a friend who has triplets. I think they work great. On the older kids I have used both Huggies and Pampers with success.

It has been over 7 years here but I used Pampers ( swaddlers and cruisers) almost exclusively for my girls. Some people like Huggies but I had trouble with leaks. i did like them when we got to the Pull Up stage though.

I remember using the Costco Kirkland brand for a bit but the tabs came off easily. Hopefully they have fixed that by now. I loved their wipes though.

It was a few years back, so things might have changed.

From newborn up to size 5 it was Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive. We tried Huggies Little Movers once and it "blew a gasket" down the sides. However, later on it was Huggies Pull-Ups, which were pretty reliable. The big brands also use licensed images. Pampers had Sesame Street characters like Cookie Monster and Elmo. Huggies used Disney characters. When our kid got older, sometimes it had to be a specific character.

Strangely enough we still have some diapers left. The only use I've had for them is changing the oil on my wife's car. Removing the oil filter means dripping it down the axle, and the diaper material locks in the oil.

They are for my soon-to-be-here grandson:scared1: I was looking for some advice from the more experienced members here. I have bought my daughter small packs of a bunch of different brands Huggies, Luvs, Pampers, Target brand to see what works best for her. I was just curious what others thought

We were particular with our kids - but with the grand kids not so much. ;)

We ended up just settling on the Target brand based on cost. Leaves us more money for their parents when we want to get them something more important that what their kids crap in. :D

You need to post that on my "Deep Thoughts" thread. . .

I still find the odd one here now and then. A few months back I found almost a whole pack of Little Swimmers in the back of our bathroon cabinet. My youngest is 9.

good thinking! I'm thinking I'm going to have the baby ALOT so I want to make sure I don't get stuck with any blow-outs

You can also wrap them about beverages that you pack in suitcases. Wrap them up and put the bundle in a zip loc bag and it's very effective in stopping leakage onto your clothes in the suitcase.

I've used them for soaking up the blood on the drive to the hospital when my eldest cracked his head. Fun times.
