My adult daughter has a huge collection of stuffed eeyores, just wondering how others display these eeyores. She has them on her bed, on shelves in the bedroom, but I was wondering about a tall glass door cabinet from ikea for her bedroom, that might help keep the dust off them.

Also to make it look like an adults room rather than a younger child. I guess she is just young at heart, but she loves eeyore.

How do others display their stuffed animals.

Thanks,

Deb.

First off I just wanted to be the first to say that I absolutely LOVE stuffed animals. I just get this safe warm fuzzy feeling from them (ok I am a weirdo). I do not collect eeyores, but giraffes are my favorite animals so I have a lot of giraffes. When SO and I moved to Indy from FL I left a lot of my stuffed animals back home in rubbermaid storage containers (I know, poor things, no air or sunlight...:( ). Here in Indy I have all of my stuffed animals that I brought (small collection) in this very (ready extremely) large basket that SO's mother gave us some x-mas present in a few years ago that I love. The basket sits in a corner and the ones that can not fit into the basket sit on the floor next to it. I also have one stuffed animal that sits on the bed when it is made. She is my favorite and when SO goes on business trips (which he does a lot) she sleeps in the bed with me. She is this awesome purple elephant named "Elephant" (it wasn't for lack of creativity, that is just what I wanted to call her). "Elephant" is well know in our family. She is a bit of a trouble maker. It is this running joke whenever something happens to blame "Elephant." I do not think it is childish, or that it doesn't look like an adult room. SO has no problems with it. As far as dust goes. I shake them out whenever I dust and vacuum.

I think the basket idea is good, or maybe in a curio cabinet ...or even on a shelf, I love stuffed animals too, I have lots of Disney stuff in our bedroom, it looks like a 12 yr old's room, but who cares right?;)

Those are good ideas. I guess when it comes down to it I love stuffed animals as well and I am in my 40's.

She gave me chip/dale from a recent disney trip, so I was thinking of getting one of those deep shadow box picture frame type of things and getting my hubby to put them in as a picture.

Keep the ideas coming,

Deb.

Well, I love stuffed animals too :)

I collect Disney Beanies (so that's the size I'm dealing with).
I have over 250 and they are displayed on shelves over my windows and doorways........I've filled all the upstairs ones....need to get DH to get going on the downstairs ;)

Well, I *do* collect stuffed Eeyores! LOL

Actually, I have about 6 that sit on a shelf above our bed. Dh doesn't object -- he has a couple cute Poohs that I've bought for him that sit up there, too. I shake them out every now and then to keep them dust-free.

My favorite Eeyore *always* sits on our bed and (ahem) travels with us. He's been to WDW a bunch of times and even did the Disney Cruise last October. He even went with me and ds for our trip to visit my terminally ill grandfather and was comforting to have when he passed while we were there and my dh was home, working.

I might be 33, but it still feels good to cuddle a stuffie every now and then.. ;)

My Eeyores live all over the place including on top of the scanner right beside me right now! They get to do the shimmy shake every once in a while to dust them off. All 4 of us in this house are big stuffie fans, so they tend to be everywhere!

Deb... I swear I thought you were my mother. :teeth: I had to read your post out loud to my husband and he just ASSUMED my mother had found the DIS. :)

We're in the process of buying a house, having just gotten married in September. My parents call me on a regular basis to ask when I'm going to claim my precious Eeyore collection. :p There are TOO many of them, and many of them are GIANT, and they just don't fit in our current one bedroom apartment.

Well, now my architect DH is trying to find a way to build the Eeyores into the tiny, tiny four room house with finished loft-attic structure. He's got plans to run them along all the ceilings/wall joints.

I'm so distrought that I have no place for them!!! But we're working on it! Lucky for me, DH likes Eeyore and tolerates my plushie obsession. (He married me... he's STUCK with it!)

We have a Bear in the Big Blue House from our honeymoon who resides on our headboard... that HE insisted on buying. :)

I'll continue to follow this thread, should anyone else have any more good ideas!!!!

my den is my Disney room - I have sorcerer Mickey, Figment and Goofy on the back of the couch.
Chip n Dale are on the back shelf of my car.

Julia:

That's funny. When she meets her mate that will be another big step in getting him to take all these lovely eeyores. I never even thought that I might be housing all these when she finally moves out. lol

We are trying to declutter our whole home and redoing our three bedrooms, including dd's.

The big icecream eeyore is surely on her bed, as well as about l0 others, I told her to try and collect beanies cause of the problem of storing huge eeyores.

She came home from the Disney store about a couple of weeks ago with yet another huge eeyore (icecream) claiming that there was 60 per cent off him, so she had to have him. This is after I said no more big stuffed animals. It is cute though, but I wish she had bought a smaller one. Oh boy.

My daughter has to keep her bedroom door closed when whe is out as we have two shelties who love to drag around old stuffed animals and play tug of war, so that is a big concern with these disney animals.

Keep the ideas coming folks, thanks,

Deb.
