When I load reward points on my card, how long can they stay there before they expire?

I believe they expire when the card expires. Look at your rewards card (not the credit card), and the date of expiration is printed there.

Before you transfer the rewards to the rewards card, they also have expiration dates. If you have online log-in to your account, go to the rewards detail and it tells you when each month will expire. It is usually about 4 years from the date earned.

The points expire with the card as the previous poster stated.

Every card I've ever gotten expired the following December...so if you got one now it will expire in Dec 2012.

Does anyone know if I can use the rewards card to purchase a disney gift card, which in turn I can avoid the whole expiration dilemma? Thinking of using the disney gift cards on a trip whenever we decide to go. Has anyone done this?

I do it online all of the time!

Success in using it to buy GCs in the Disneystore at the mall kind of varies. But I can guarantee that it works with their online store (and shipping is free).

They do expire when the card expires. Its a good idea to transfer only as many points as you need.
