Hello fellow Disney enthusiasts.... We are counting down to our much anticipated Disney vacation. We will be there in a week. My DD almost 6yo just broke her arm. The docs say she can do most everything (except roller coasters and playgrounds).. plus no swimming.

Has anyone had experience taking their child to Disney with a full arm cast (or similar situation)? Just curious if there is anything special I should bring with us.

Thanks in advance.

Heh, my DD also almost 6 broke her arm while at WDW.

We found she could ride most anything except perhaps RnR. Thankfully the cast members there were very helpful in making sure we had big bags we could use to help with bathing and such. You might look into a cast protector (a thick plactic bag designed for keeping casts dry) as well as a poncho in case you get hit with an afternoon shower or two.

Also, if you are staying at a resort with a zero entry pool if you're careful you can still let her wade in the water. We kept the cast covered and had one of the parents with her at all times. While not swimming it was better than nothing. For Kali river rapids we wrapped the cast and had her wear a poncho, no problems there either, can prolly do the same at Spach Mountain.

Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I will see if I can get the waterproof cover for her cast. Our resort does have a zero entry plus a new splash area... that could work.

I have a rain coat packed for her.... I'll make sure it covers the whole cast.
Thanks again!
