Disneyworld ticket swap

I have read on here that it is possible to trade in a Disneyworld ticket for a disneyland ticket. Is there anyone who has done this recently? and if so what procedure did you follow. I am headed to Disneyland this week and I have several unexpired Disneyworld tickets I would love to be able to use to save me from having to purchase tickets for Disneyland. Thanks for your help

Simply present your Walt Disney World Resort tickets to a Host or Hostess at any Theme Park Turnstile. They'll determine eligibility and handle the transfer process for you.

Please note that certain tickets purchased before the implementation of the Magic Your Way ticket programme in 2005 may not be eligible for exchange.

As glendalais said, you take the ticket directly to the turnstile. It takes a few extra minutes so they had us stand off to the side until they did whatever they had to do. If you have more than one ticket, you have to do it day by day. You can't exchange them all on the same day to try and save time.

The first time I did it we just turned up at the turnstile and had no problems. Last year when we went, the lady at the turnstile had never heard of it, and sent us to the ticket office. Then we get sent back to the turnstile. Same lady, had to send for her manager in the end. We got it sorted, but it took maybe half an hour the second time (so then you miss the best bit of the day) rather than 5 mins on our first experience. If the person at the turnstiles doesnt know what to do, tell them youre sure this is how you do it and get them to ask someone more senior.

If your WDW tickets are not park hoppers, can you hop between the DL parks? For example, I have a non-expiry 10 d WDW pass (without the park hopper) for each of my kids each with ~ 5 days left. If I redeem a day from each, for one day at DL- can I go back and forth between DL and California Adventure?

As I understand it, if your Magic Your Way tickets do not have the Park Hopper option enabled, you will receive One-Day, One-Park Tickets. Just like in Florida, you cannot redeem multiple days in order to obtain Park Hopping privilages.

I believe - and someone will correct me if I'm wrong - that you get similar ticket. So, if your WDW tickets are PH, you get PH. If they are one park, you get one park.
