Hello! I might have this question in the wrong area! If so, please move me. I believe I have heard of People that shop the parks for people? I am looking for someone to get an ornament for me and then ship it to me. Does anyone know anyone? I have looked on disney's website and they say nothing in stock. Help please!

These are just 3rd party people that create a company based on them going to the parks to purchase items and then resell them.
I believe I read last week that Disney has actively been putting a stop to it by banning particular people that are known to be the ones doing it.

I'd leave a link to a website I used a few years ago for a limited time merch but I'm guessing it would not be permitted.

I also would not really recommend using a service like that anyways especially since you can find so much of the popular park merch on the website.

I am not sure of any services for it, but fellow DISers will often help folks out. I would check on the TPAS board for people with upcoming trips to WDW (or the Disneyland board if it can be obtained there). I've seen it done all the time. I'd offer, but I actually just got back form Disneyland last week.

Thanks! We went in January and I forgot to get an ornament. Well I have been searching on Shop Disney and they really don't have anything I am interested in. I would like either a skyliner or something that says "2021". I will try looking and see if I can find a helpful upcoming person traveling. What does TPAS stand for?

Yep, the main board for WDW travellers - sorry, we get a little acronym heavy around here! You might try the Disneyland board too because there are a a lot of locals and frequent visitors there. Good lucj!

That runs into a number of different things. I think the primary issue is that these "shoppers" typically use their annual passes to get access to the stores as well as using their pass holder discounts. Their terms say that annual passes can't be used for a commercial purpose and items purchased with the discounts are for resale. But it's pretty easy to spot someone who is buying copious amounts of stuff and coming back every day. The commercial use is something that's supposedly been an issue when "disabled guides" were used to bypass lines, and when tour guides have tried using them rather than entering with a ticket.

Additionally, Annual Passes may not be used for commercial purposes and are void if altered or misused.

BENEFITS/DISCOUNTS: A Passholder must present a valid Annual Pass and valid photo identification prior to purchases to receive any applicable benefits and discounts. Benefits and discounts are nontransferable and may not be combined with any other offer or promotion. Such benefits and discounts are for personal use only and may not be used for any commercial purpose including, without limitation, to obtain or purchase items or services with the intent to resell such items or services.

I kind of wonder about these things too, including people who report or blog about it where they get some sort of compensation for the job. Now I suppose when someone's name is out there, Disney might have a special way of handling such visitors with special access through a PR department. The Orlando Sentinel has several people who solely report on theme parks, but I think a large daily newspaper could probably afford to buy daily tickets if they had to.
