I recently purchased a shirt from disneystore.com. It was too small (it ran small), so I returned it by mail. The next day, I purchased the same shirt in a separate order in the next size up because I was afraid they would run out of my size if I did an exchange.
The shipping receipt clearly states that refunds will be issued in the form of original payment. I paid for the shirt with a regular Disney Gift Card (that I had purchased myself). Today I received an email that said I had been issued a Disney Store Online Gift Card. I have emailed customer service and let them know I want my money on my regular Disney Gift Card.
I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. It won't be the end of the world if they don't refund my money the way they said they would. I order regularly off of disneystore.com, so I will spend the money eventually. I had just planned on using the gift card next month while we were at Disney and the amount would have made the card an even hundred (give or take a few cents).
I am just wondering if they made a mistake or if this is the way they typically refund purchases made with Gift Cards.
