Disneystore.com and gift cards

I'm not sure where to put this thread. I have a Disney gift card but if I want to buy stuff from DisneyStore.com and the total is more than the gift card, will they know how much my gift card limit is and charge the remaining balance on my credit card?

I went through the checkout but the message was not clear and I don't know in the situation my gift card had insufficient funds it would charge the total to my credit card or just the difference.

Yes. They will first charge your gift card (as long as you made sure to input the gift card information) and then they will charge your credit card.

I did the exact same thing with a recent purchase, so I am speaking from experience. I think their website is absolutely horrible in displaying the purchase information. I wish they would show the gift card balance subtracted from your total and then show the amount to be charged to a credit card. The order confirmation email I received from them did not even show this. The email only showed the order total.
