A friend has an unexpected chance to visit tomorrow.

Trying to help her plan last minute.

Wondering about the best way to handle lines in the entrance to the park (do you really have to wait 3 hours to rope drop? Is it worth it? What’s the best time to arrive if not?)

Also the “must rides” and best strategy for a not-too-stressful day, I.e. trying to hit the most important rides but balancing ones with long lines with maybe 2 tier rides with less lines in order to not spend the whole day queuing?

You don't have to get there three hours early. Especially not on a weekday. Getting anywhere three hours early would really ruin my day.

Just have fun. Don't stress so much about what you might miss. The stuff in Fantasy Springs requires passes. And, if you can, get a pass for Journey. That usually has the longest lines and it's the best ride.

It really depends upon your "must dos". If you're not bothered about getting into Fantasy Springs, then I understand you can just walk straight into DisneySea with minimal waiting from around 9:15am (maybe a bit earlier).

You should be able to still buy Premier Access tickets for Soaring, Tower of Terror, Journey or Toy Story Mania if those interest you.

And free 40th Anniversary Priority Passes would still be available.

You could get lucky and even obtain a paid Premier Access ticket or free Standby Pass for an attraction within Fantasy Springs.

If your friend is going alone, Indiana Jones and Raging Spirits both have single rider lines which are typically very short and quick.

It's hard to make any firm recommendations without knowing what you consider to be the "most important rides".
