Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

I would suggest the 2BR Villa. For us, on vacation, time is money and you would save a lot of time and hassle with the 2BR Villa. Everyone is in one large space vs having to go between 2 cabins. Quicker access to EP and DHS. So many dining options within the area without needing to hop in a car or a bus.

I think we will go with the 2BR Villa. Hopefully there is availability once we decide the trip’s date. Fingers crossed!!

how many mug refill stations are at YC? And are they free style or the more traditional models?

I’d expect the “quiet” pools to be anything but quiet in April. Spring/Easter break happening as well as warmer temps.

I think it may depend on where your room is located as to whether or not you’ll hear construction noise.

Given how you’ll be at BWV and don’t want to do BWI, I’d either book what you can get at Swolphin or maybe consider CBR with the skyliner. At least you’d have more quiet pool opportunity at CBR.
Are there pool bars set up at quiet pools during construction

This surprises me. I would have thought that with SAB closed and the quiet pools getting really crowded that they'd station at least one lifeguard at each quiet pool.
Was at the BCV pool a couple times last week, and also had a view from our room - no guards and no food/drink - like normal for those pools. Except we noticed an increase in the number of chairs on the deck..... Pool didn't really get full until the afternoon, but the weather included some cooler mornings last week.... I expect it's going to be pretty crazy full over the upcoming weeks and months. Perhaps the lifeguard situation changes then, but I don't think so.

Others reported that no bars were set up at the BC and BCV quiet pool. Same case for the YC quiet pool when we were there in early February. The pool was never crowded then, but for Spring Break I'm sure it's different.

I've always loved the background music at the Yacht and Beach Club. An interesting note though-one of my favorites was "How Great Thou Art" just because I enjoyed the tune. However, knowing it's a hymn, I used to wonder how long it would be before some guest would decide to be "offended". Sure enough, on my latest visit, I noticed that in the entire week, I never heard that one, so I guess they took it out of the rotation. And it was so freezing and miserable out that I had plenty of time to listen to background music. I spent almost an entire day sitting and reading in the Drawing Room.
The Lord's Prayer in Swahili used to be part of the Kilimanjaro Safari. I noticed that it is gone too.

Sorry in advance for some crazy questions!

Are there any quick service places by the beach club/ boardwalk area? Any that are pretty good? Is it better to walk over the to the swan/dolphin for a quick bite?

On that note, do the beach club villas have any menus for room service? Wondering if it is easier to just Instacart food to the hotel instead or find a QS spot to eat. Has anyone done Instacart before? Do you just use the beach club villas address? Thanks!

I can speak to the BC/YC resorts. Both have a 'Marketplace' where you can buy merchandise, snacks/drinks, and order food - either order in person or mobile order. Both are slightly different and we've found them to have some very good options - you can look at the menus yourself online or in the app. We've never walked to S/D for counter service. I'm not as familiar with BW.

There is no room service. And it's pretty easy to do an instacart order to BCV, we've done it many times. I'm pretty sure you'll use the BC address since that's where they'll drop off the groceries. Remember, if you order alcohol, you'll need to pick it up in person. If you don't have alcohol, bell services will hold the order for you - if anything requires refrigeration, make sure the store separates those items and marks them for cold storage. Bell will deliver groceries to your room but will charge $6 for the service.

Thank you so much! I will look up the Marketplace and probably just order some food from Instacart for breakfasts. I appreciate your help!

Why? The leisure pools have never had lifeguards. No matter how crowded they get.
I realize that but as crowded as they can get I think they'll be a lot more crowded with SAB closed and the weather warming up. I think it leaves them open for liability if something happens.

The quiet pools have always had no lifeguards on duty, swim at your own risk warnings to protect their liability.
Yep all the deluxe resort quiet pools have signs like that. Only the feature pools have lifeguards.

I would imagine SAB lifeguards have been shifted to other resorts or BB during the refurbishment. I vaguely remember hearing that was the main reason they can't keep both water parks open at the same time, they wouldn't be able adequately staff the resort pools as well on top of both parks.
