The bus is the best way to get to MK. Just be at the bus stop an hour early and you shouldn't have any trouble getting to MK before rope drop. The morning bus only stops at one resort and then goes directly to MK. It drops you off at the bus depot.is bus the best way to Magic Kingdom..
I have no uber/lyft experiences so will offer my bus advice. Bus does drop you off at MK and not TTC.Hi - New to YC - almost always at POR... with it closed and a last-minute quick trip for me and my husband, we splurged. So excited! I've been scrolling back through, but wanted to ask (see what I missed)... is bus the best way to Magic Kingdom... i.e., does it drop you off at Magic Kingdom versus the TTC? And, if so, when do we need to be in bus line to get in early (our goal is to be at MK at 8/815 am for 9 am opening)? We are going late April, so a bit quieter with Spring Break having died down). Seems like I've read that uber/lyft drop you at TTC and if you drive, you have to park at TTC. Last visit, we took a lyft and picked up a mobile order from Contempo Cafe to walk over to MK, but I've heard that their policy on letting you do that may have changed. Not sure we'd have time for a sit-down reservation at the Wave.
Thanks in advance - and thanks for the tips in this thread; super helpful!

It's about a 15 - 20 minute bus ride from YC to MK so plan on being at the bus stop around 7:45 AM. Busses should be running by then.
ETA.... And @Wood Nymph is a faster typer than me!

Ww had a very short wait yesterday afternoon. They were checking magic bands, issuing wristbands and then seating each party. Seemed as though there was enough space for more parties to enter after us.Any one experience capacity issues for Stormalong Bay this week since it is so busy? If so how long were people waiting to get in?
My YC dates are correct, my Portofino Bay dates are 5/20 - 5/23. I'm also super happy that my son who is active duty Army is going to be able to join me for a few days that weekend at Portofino Bay.![]()
We are staying at Yacht Club May 10-15 in a Garden or Woods view room. We decided to bite the bullet and go big. My sister was not feeling Movies at all. LOL. I’ve stayed at Beach Club before, but never Yacht. I am excited. Can someone tell me about the showers? Some pictures, I see a shower and tub combination but some pictures are like walk-in showers?
Hello all you lovely people! We will be staying at BC for the second half of our split stay 02/09-02/16 2022. It's our first time staying there and I've never done a split stay before either. I'm really looking forward to reading through these posts and learning all there is to know about YC & BC! I've already learned a ton from the recent posts regarding walking to HS vs buses, boats, and skyliner.![]()
Hi everyone! Our June trip ( June 8 - 15) was booked at the Poly, but since it'll still be closed for refurb, we took advantage of the summer promo and switched over to the Yacht Club! I loved my solo stay but it will be the first time there for the rest of the family. My kids have been wanting to try out Stormalong Bay since the first time they saw it...they're 15 and 17 now, but better late than never, LOL!! They love the Poly but were receptive to the switch b/c they knew they could finally get in that pool! (and my 15 year old just likes being able to walk to Japan any time he wants, haha)
Staying at BCV in June, renting points. First time at a deluxe - decided to upgrade after having to cancel last years trip. We wanted to do surrey bikes around the boardwalk last year until plans were canned. Are the surrey bikes available at BW currently?
We have a similar trip a few weeks later. I've started some planning but keep switching ideas around. Plenty of time to finalize though!
Thank you for the add. If we go, and I think it is likely, we will be at the Beach Club June 19-26 with a great PIN code deal. My in-laws will also tag along but I haven't seen any discounted BC rooms available in ages. They are currently booked at the YC.
Thanks for this thread! We are joining the club. Just moved our reservation to the Yacht Club May 8-16. First time staying in a deluxe, got a good rate with the AP discount, very excited. We are normally Pop Century people, with a moderate thrown in from time to time. But when you reschedule your trip 3 times in the last year (originally April 2020), and it now lands on your 40th birthday week, it's time for a splurge. So much info in this thread has answered all of my questions so far. Excited for Stormalong Bay and walking to EP and HS.
Yes they have the refillable mugs, a CM will give you a fresh drink in a disposable cup that you can use directly or transfer to your mug. Also, a couple of questions for people who have been there recently....I would assume they aren't doing refillable mugs right now, but do you know if you can still buy them in the gift store? Is the Coke freestyle machine working in Ale and Compass? And are there still coffee machines in the rooms and if so are they Keurigs? Is it easy to get extra pods or do you have to bring your own? Thanks so much!
REALLY?!?!? I didn't know you could book more than one. I ended up finding a discounted garden view room at the YC for my inlaws so they are all set but I'm dying to do a weekend trip in late April/early May. I may have to poke around and see what is still available. Are you only able to book 1 room with your PIN? I remember in the past you used to be able to use the PIN for more than one.
Thanks so much! Great newsYes they have the refillable mugs, a CM will give you a fresh drink in a disposable cup that you can use directly or transfer to your mug.
Yes all rooms have coffee and Keurigs pod units and you can request extras since they don't clean your room every day as of now. However mousekeeping may change by June so stay tuned.

I'm excited to be returning to BC May 30-June 3 after several stays at Riviera in the last year. Thank you all for the updates. I suddenly want to book a cabana!
