Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Thanks that helps a lot. I knew this fabric was the one right after the teal. I'll soon be having a circa 2001 BC guest bedroom, I saw that fabric and couldn't let it get away.

Is it the cream colored background? You are very lucky to have found that!

Since the Yacht club refurb is just getting underway any guesstimates on when CL rooms will be done or when the lounge will be done based on how long it took them with the BC refurb?
I don't think it will take as long as Beach as we have heard nothing of an extension unlike Beach where they extended into a couple of rooms.

We enjoyed MNSSHP last night!!! I just love that parade, it is one of my favorites & the Hocus Pocus show was really awesome. We didn't get that much candy because our daughter wanted to ride the rides, there was minimal waits on everything pretty much. The castle light show was canceled though due to technical difficulties so we didn't get to see that but everything else was totally Awesomesauce.

Love your costumes and I'm glad you had fun :)

We are here with you Dee. Can't say enough about how much we all appreciate the hard work and dedication you have to keeping us up to date on all the happenings.

Ditto this! Thanks for all your hard work Dee :)
Thanks to everyone who posts for keeping it such a fun place to hang out :)

First stay at YC Nov 6-9(October 31-Nov 6 @ CSR Business Class)! So excited and it is a surprise for DD(9) and DD (10). Best options for breakfast at YC/BC? They really love Mickey waffles but don't see them as an option other than Cape May Cafe and that is booked solid. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Since it's your first stay at YC/BC I suggest checking out the first page of this thread, especially the Dining post (post #7), it is loaded with information and details to help make your first stay an awesome one! :thumbsup2

One place I know you can get Mickey Waffles is the Captain's Grille.

You will love the YC. If we need to grab breakfast you can either sit down (table service) at Captain's Grille (can be a walk up) or a quick walk over to the Boardwalk Bakery or even France in WS. You can also grab continental breakfast type of stuff at Ale and Compass along with coffee and soda, which is in the YC lobby. When we first jumped over to YC four years ago from WL and POFQ, we had to readjust from food court breakfasts but we just order breakfast items from GArden Grocer for our room and also do love the tables out on the boardwalk in the morning when we grab breakfast there. You will find the YC is sooo worth giving up a few food court breakfasts. Enjoy!

The small desk in the BCV lobby is staffed for limited hours each day. I think of it as"Concierge lite".

I don't think that's a permanent position. I know there wasn't anyone there when I was there in July, or on other trips. I don't know where they pull those cast members from.

And I sure hope I get in on Sunday and Monday. My bronchitis isn't any better ... off to see the doctor again today.

Thanks for posting Erika. I need a little Disney sunshine right now. My dad passed away this weekend. Even tho he was in declining health for a long time, the end was sudden & unexpected. It has been a hard week. My DH & I will need our WD trip more than ever now. My parents went to WDW several times, but only once with us, at the YC, the only time they ever stayed there. I have been smiling at those memories. It was in 2001-- I only wish I could remember every minute we spent there with him!

So sorry to hear about your loss. Maybe you could plan to do a little memorial for your dad while there. You could find a special place at YC that reminds you most of your dad or that trip and say your favorite memories of him. :grouphug:

My thoughts are with you and your family. I am so glad you have some Disney memories together.

My 14,000th post did not happen over here (on Page 300), but I am happy to say that it was used to post the latest installment in the Monkey chronicles:

"What is your proper name?"
