So this isn't BC/YC specific, but I think you will all appreciate it. I had a dream last night that we checked into the WL. We had a room with two balconies, which was cool. But our views were of a massive construction pit, which the CMs refused to admit existed even when I showed it to them, and a water-filled quarry. I was told the quarry view was quite desirable because most people had never seen a live megalodon (which Aria was dying to pet).

Can't wait to see what my brain comes up with for the second half of our trip.

I frequently have dreams that the room is horrendous and the CMs won't do anything about it, or that the Soccer Dad who pushed me out of the way to get off the ME bus and checked-in first got some huge Pixie-Dusted upgrade that would have gone to us if we had gotten there first.

Do I need to get a hobby?

Yay for everyone who will be leaving for vacation soon! We are at the 1 month and 1 day mark until we arrive in Orlando, and we can't wait!

The August activity calendar is located in Post 4. Looks like Mondays at 2:30 for the tie dye activity. Located at Stormalong Bay pool.

We did see a bear today on the way to our cabin from the airport. We pulled over to the side of the road. ill see if I can post it or send it to someone who can.

Me, too. Actually, I think I'm going to claim single digits, since in nine days, I drive to the Marriot at BWI and will not have to cook for anyone or clean a single cat box or guinea pig cage for 8 days.

Ya know.... if you would teach the Cat to clean the Guinea Pig's cage and vice versa you could cross that job off of your list and save yourself some time. I mean how hard could it be? Use your head woman!

Update- the trip is still on!! By the end of the day they said he could still have the time off. I told my husband I'm not packing yet! Hopefully they don't change their mind again. It was crazy because the time was approved a long time ago we are lucky that through a magical deal we have till 5 days before to get back the money for the Disney part but we would have been out the airfare portion. Now I just have to get through the root canal I am going to the dentist for today-I hope it is good by the time we go away because I have been dieting for the last 4 months and am ready to enjoy some tasty food

i didnt have a chance to sympathize with you over the cancellation of your husbands vacation time. Glad to hear his manager is reconsidering. Fingers crossed that all goes as planned.

Nate said black bear in a coloring phase. We pulled over and watched it for about 10 minutes. It was digging for food. Also saw a small sheep near a guardrail. All day tour today

Yikes! 162 pages! I have been hunting and pecking through this thread trying to find if there is any word on the status of the BC/BCV room refurbishment schedule. Are they now done with BC? Have they started BCV? Just wondering if I will have a lot of construction noise or opportunity to stay in a refurbished room during our BCV stay late September.

There have been posts on this board and in the DVC section that refurb project for BCV has been delayed. No one has heard any specific start date, but I believe I read a post that a CM said "after January". Many of us were "hoping" to get a rehabbed room for the fall, but doesn't seem realistic at this point.
Positive side is that we won't have to deal with renovation noise. HAVE FUN and keep watching posts on the DVC resort and misc section.

Oh my gosh, I missed single digits!
ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!

In fact, our flight out of BOS is so early, we will be just about to land at MCO at this time next week....then CR here we come!
But we will be visiting Teena on Monday,8/17 and checking in to BC on 8/19.... But let's not rush things! I love he final days leading up to a vacation....so much nervous, excited energy in the house!
