I have a 9 year old daughter. I understand your pain. My DD can be quite dramatic at times. lol
I also ask them what is their must do's.
DD chose BBB and lunch at CRT.
DS wants to do Splash over and over and go to Chef Mickey's.
If I know Amara, her must do is spending my money at DTD. I have FP+ for A&E, and Rapunzel and Snow White our first night. Next day is Ariel. I think Ariel is the one she'll be the most excited about. At this point, I don't know that she really knows exactly what visiting Mickey at his house even means. We also have an ADR for 'Ohana, so she'll get her fill of characters this trip, for sure.
Don't you just love the drama of girls! I have 3 of them as well and the oldest will be 18 in less than a month and she's the worse. In our case drama would get everyone a ride on its a small world! When we started talking about doing another trip youngest dd, 11, said "your not going to make us go on It's a Small World because those doll things are creepy"! I told her they should give them all axes for Halloween...ok Universal might do that but maybe not Disney. Last we went on it they all got into the boat and pull there hands up like they were going on a great roller-coaster. I have a very funny family
The drama is killing me. And the oldest is by far the most over-the-top about things. I swear, each week I get a new "It's always been my dream to..." Fill in the rest with something totally absurd. She flipped out just before Illuminations last August, saying it was her dream to see the fireworks with her family. Meanwhile, my middle daughter was crying because the other two had berated her on her choice of country for the Phineas and Ferb game, my poor mom looked like she wanted to jump in the lake or in some other way end things, and I was completely fried. I stopped short of saying her dream was ridiculous, but I pointed out that no one was exactly having a great time at the moment, so may be should try finding a new dream for the night. Or something to that effect.
In June SAB was open until 11pm so you shouldn't have any problems if you want a late night swim...we closed down the pool a couple of times in fact. It was great...once I ate a whole banana split from Beaches 'n cream while the kiddos swam in the pool
Hope all you ladies get your A&E FP+....keep checking!! During our trip A&E wasn't really a priority but we did get to see them and it was probably the coolest experience of our trip. My youngest is 10 so we can close the parks and we decided around 11:30pm to see what the wait time was...and it was 15 minutes. We got in line and I was surprised to see how many little kids were in line! It was awesome! Anyways...we were next in line to see Elsa (you see Elsa first, then Anna) and the family ahead of had this little dude, must've been 5 or so, and once Elsa waved him over he started shouting "Oh my gosh...this is the best day ever...thanks so much Mom and Dad for bringing me to see Elsa...I'm so happy...this is a dream come true" Our family watched this little boy's excitement and many others were watching...I mean, this little dude was in seventh heaven!! He gave his parents a huge hug and looking around there were many parents bursting with tears...me, too!! It was one of those magical moments. I realized how special a moment this was for us to witness...we were all crying as we saw this little guy's dream come true. A few days later we did Frozen Summer Fun and by golly, the effect this movie has on kids is amazing. You read about in forums and online, and some say Disney has gone overboard with Frozen, well, now I knew why...it was for little guy and all those kids like him. Bravo, Disney!
Aw, that's so incredibly sweet. I have no clue how our youngest will react this trip. My other kids were always completely aware that the folks in costume were folks in costume. She will probably believe she's really meeting Elsa and Anna. I will probably cry.
Welcome to all the new members that have discovered this amazing ( the best actually) thread on the Dis!!!!
64 days to go!!! Guess I better make a FP plan!!!!
Just curious, if you could only pick one TS for breakfast, one for lunch and one for Dinner what would they be? No character meals!
Hm. No characters, so I'd swap out Boma for Tusker House. For lunch, I'd have to pick Biergarten. Does the Oompa band count as a character? I just love this one. We've made such great friends eating at this meal. Our last trip, we met a family of five staying at YC, so we spent hours hanging out with them at SAB over the next few days. For dinner, it's a tough choice. If it's just me, I'm going to Flying Fish, most likely. If I'm with everyone else, it's probably BOG. Not so much for the food as the location. We've had great times there. If that counts as a character meal because of the Beast, I'd have to go with Flying Fish. Unless I could get V&A and the chef's table. I ate there with my husband for our tenth anniversary and it's one of the top five meals of my life.
Here is a photo with me and Baloo backscratching!!

That is just awesome! My kids are always too stunned to talk to the characters. The only one who really gets into it is Teagan. She had a ton of fun with Pluto one time.
Would you recommend doing it with the dining plan? I'm more of a snacker and so are my kids but my husband is more of a full meal type guy. So I'm not sure what to do about ADRs if we switch to club level for the whole trip. Obviously the days we'd be in the parks most of the day we'd eat at restaurants, but not sure about the rest of the time.
We stayed CL once with the meal plan and it was too much food for us. When we stayed CL without the plan, my husband just ran down to the QS restaurant and grabbed a flat bread for himself because the evening appetizers weren't enough for him.
