Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Thanks! Yes I couldn't get anything to work last night. Do you need a code or anything?
No code. The sale fares start @49. I got in very late last night and managed to book two flights for a friend, so, there may be better luck in off-hours, when there is not so much demand. It's impossible today!

Checking in a little over two weeks from today at BC :yay:
Looking for room request suggestions please. Hoping for a renovated room. Thanks a bunch for any suggestions.

I always request a full balcony. If you also want a renovated room then request a high floor. The third, fourth and fifth floors are finished, although the fifth is club level. :)

Thanks. Mine priced at about $350 round trip which isn't too far off other flights from our city now. Maybe $65 per person lower but given we'd have to travel further not sure how to quantify the hassle. I'll try tonight though, if you told me $50 each flight I'd have to find a way!

Southwest has a big sale that was to expire the end of today. However, their website has not been working for about the last 24 hours, so they just extended the sale through the end of the day, Friday, June 4.

For anyone thinking they can book over the phone, if you can even get through, the waits have been at least 2 hours, according to others.

The first day they had the sale, I went on and rebooked Jeanne's and Lily's August trip and my October trip and got back enough to pay for one way for Jeanne in December. Love, love, love Southwest!

I think the cheap fares are only Monday and Tuesday or maybe Tuesday and Wednesday travel.

At Beach club now. Trying to convince DH to book bounce back if we can get cheap airfare. Not having much luck so far but there's always hope!:flower1:

And we are very close to the "secret" Epcot door- 2nd floor and full balcony. Must have got a pixie dust upgrade as we are looking right at quiet pool:thumbsup2

It's not a renovated room but I really don't mind- we get that Mickey lamp that all you old timers rave about- now I see why!

We were able to get $79 flights between Chicago and Orlando. Plus bags fly free....2 pieces of checked luggage per person are free! Can't beat it!

Just be aware...

Last summer my mom and sister flew Southwest to WDW from Pitt. When they returned home, only one of each of their bags made it. SW told them that people who pay for some luggage guarantee get first priority. If you don't pay that, there's no guarantee both of your bags will be on YOUR flight. You might have to wait for the next flight (they'll obviously deliver your bags to your hotel or home, but you will have to wait.) They said they can't always guarantee the weight of things and the non-guaranteed bags are the first to get bumped.

I fly Southwest almost every other month and sometimes a bag gets lost but they drive it to my house or Jeanne's school within usually 12 hours. I can't find anything on their website about any kind of luggage guarantee and I've talked to many Southwest luggage personnel. Sounds kind of funny to me.

I'm actually stressing about having to fly United next week ... when we booked our flight on SAS to Copenhagen, the first part of the flight (Orlando to Chicago) is on United ... and they are always late and we have to pay for the bags ... even though we don't have to pay for them on SAS and it's part of SAS's flight. Wish we could have flown to Ohare on Southwest but they don't go there. Then I wouldn't have a bag problem or worry about making the connection. Any time I've flown United, it was seriously late.

I didn't explain it properly....it's the people who pay for priority boarding. Their bags get priority. My mom was in communication with Southwest execs for a few weeks after our trip and was finally told this is how they determine whose bags get bumped if the plane is overweight. I'm sorry for not explaining it correctly!

That makes sense but how many flights are overweight? It's a good system though ... I would put business class first, then I'd do it by boarding pass numbers. So if you have C-70, your bags will probably get bumped if the flight is overweight.

I agree with you about Southwest, Teena. No worse than other airlines, and probably much better, on the whole. The only problem with Southwest is that they don't interline with any other airline, so they can't move you to another carrier, if your flight is canceled or has a major delay.

Teena, no need to stress out about your trip; just concentrate on the amazing time you will all have together. After this trip, you will be able to call yourself a world traveler...and I'm not just talking about Disney World. :)

Bon Voyage...can't wait to hear all about your European adventure.

Love Southwest! After we got hit with hefty "changing fees" fr Air Transport after Dd broke her leg, we REALLY appreciate Southwest! We did pay for the priorit boarding though. Small price to pay to not have to worry about checking in at a certain time

For the people who booked a bounce back offer while at Disney. What is the deposit required, one night, or is it a lower deposit?
