Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Don't know what is going on but there are no Yacht and Beach Club rooms available for sale in the UK for August next year!!!!!!!

No break for us on free dining. On hold for 45 minutes after trying a number of times just to get through. We had booked the BB for a December stay when we were there last January. The BB was room only. We had added the normal dining package because of some things we want to do this upcoming trip. Now if you try to take advantage of the free dining offer, you lose the 35% room-only discount and you have to pick up two day park-hopper tickets which we were going to get at a discount anyway.. We end up spending about $200 more to take advantage of free dining. So, in the end, that was a waste of one hour on the phone. Glad I could work on the computer while on hold.

Yes that is the way the Free Dining promo works. Full price room and at least a 2 day park hopper ticket. Your 35% off is a great example of why it is always important to compare promotions.
Free Dining is not always the best deal.

Agree! With only my DH & myself staying club level, the room discount is always a better deal. If you have more people in the room or stay at a less costly room, free dining might save you more. You always need to check the savings for your own particular situation.

Free dining. We don't get rack rate of other discounts in the UK.

Thanks! Still a little unusual although the discounts sure seem to be becoming more limited. Rack rate is full price. Can you book other resorts at full price already? Or just with the free dining offer? Sorry for all the questions.... I'm just curious!

We can book most everything with free dining. Our dining offers are different to the US. At value we can get 1 quick service. At moderate we get the quick service plan. Deluxe and Villas we get the dining plan.

It was a long day of trying to get through to Disney... circuits busy, on hold for an hour only to get disconnected right after getting to an agent, then on hold for another hour... lucky for me it was worth it! Saved $600 on my August YC vacation. Happy I kept at it because there was no availability showing up online. Free dining definitely is a benefit to us as we like a sit down meal once a day and now have 3 adults (I still can't get over my 11 year old counts as an adult) and a child.

Has anyone used the arcade in the Beach Club? I'm wondering if it's like many arcades, with a machine exchanging dollar bills for quarters or tokens, or is there a way to use a Disney Gift Card there? I'm just curious, since I have a few gift cards I'm using on the trip.

Not sure on gift cards but the arcades are all card based so you exchange dollars (or magic band I believe) for an arcade card with money on it. I miss the arcades being real arcades with prices. I think they still had the prize machine last time but can't remember. We only play when waiting for our beaches and cream reservation.

I booked FD for December, just before Xmas! Yippee!! I've stayed at the BC a few times, this will be our first YC stay. I also booked pool view. It will also be our first Xmas trip. My dd is starting college in the fall, so we can squeeze in a Xmas trip and still be home for Santa. It will be so nice not having to go in the HOT summer!
