Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

I am going to be blunt in my response. As long as you are OK with lots noise during the day. Why do you think it was such a great deal.

Dave
I am very aware of the construction (POFQ also undergoing renovations right now too) I’m excited for an upgraded room, and being close to 2 parks, and hope to see Epcot fireworks from the resort. I have never stayed in the Epcot area before,Not sure if you can, but excited to find out. This is just a short anniversary trip with DH. It’s been a rough few months with DH just getting diagnosed with prostate cancer so I was excited for some pixie dust and wanted to share. Regardless, $250 a night is an awesome deal for a deluxe, and I don’t know why I even feel I need to justify my excitement.

Wishing you a lovely anniversary trip!

Absolutely! Despite the name, the quiet pool can be busy on any given day when SAB is open. It will be interesting to read reports from spring break & Easter. I think a lot of people who are saying “I’m fine with the quiet pool” are going to be not so fine when they see how crowded they are.
I will let you know when I am there March 24-28! I usually don’t hold back.

Has anyone stayed at POFQ before? Is it a huge disappointment after YC/BC? Yacht and Beach is definitely our home - we stay here every trip (did a split with GF last trip because it was my oldest's dream and while we enjoyed it, we couldn't wait to get over to Beach). My daughter has her dance nationals in Orlando this summer (June 27-July 2). When I found that out, I immediately convinced my husband to add on Disney time at the end (July 3-6). We decided to stay on property the entire time for a little extra magic. We did look at and consider Yacht or Beach, but given that we will not be at the resort a ton during the nationals portion (but still hoping for some poool time) we decided to go for a moderate. We chose FQ due to the room renos and the small layout. I'm excited to try a new resort, and as a bonus trip, I'm just happy for Disney time, but want to manage my family's expectations!

We just returned from a split stay POFQ/YC. Loved both resorts for different reasons. POFQ rooms are very nice and we love the resort size and QS food. Transportation is centralized and quick. I will say the pool area is lacking as it is themed a bit young IMO. You do have access to the pools at POR as well since they are sister resorts. We also find the rooms at POFQ to be very quiet.

Have a great vacation!

And we appreciate you honest feedback.

Would you be willing to provide feedback on all 3 Quite pools:

Disney's Beach Club Resort pool—the 43,000-gallon Tidal pool—is located in a garden area on the far end of the resort facing Crescent Lake. Disney's Yacht Club Resort pool—the 54,000-gallon Admiral pool—can be found in its own quiet garden area. A third pool—the 55,350-gallon Dunes Cove pool—is privately located at Disney’s Beach Club Villas.

Just returned from our vacation and spent the last 5 days at YC. We had 2 resort view rooms #4138 and #4140 which were connecting. Both rooms had showers over the tub and queen beds. The views were pleasant and the rooms were very quiet. Loved the location being near the elevators which were surprisingly very quick! Rooms were in good shape.

We had meals from the Market at A&C, Crews Cup Lounge, and Ale & Compass breakfast on check-out day. Food and service were quite good. Bell services was also speedy and friendly. Mousekeeping was also great. While I could see the windows were taped over on the 5th floor we never had any noise from the refurb. We could hear pool refurb during the day but only when outside, passing by.

Great stay hotel-wise(weather was the WORST EVER) and will probably return to YC on our next visit in 3-5 years. Taking a Disney break for other travels.

I saw some EP fireworks walking from YC to Dolphin (kept turning around to watch, as my travel companion had no interest). People like to watch from the bridge to BW but it can get busy. I would consider walking out on the YC pier to get a better view vs just standing on the walkway between YC & the lake.

Absolutely plus the CL lounge rehab.

You should consider getting the PhotoPass so you can have great photo memories of your trip.

I am at BC now, we are staying in the BCV villas but wanted to reassure people that we sleep in until 10AM most days and walk to the parks between 10-12 (down the path near the villas) and have not heard a single hint of jackhammer or construction even once (we did hear the ambient Ratatouille/France music when walking home late at night tonight!), so while I’m not promising a tranquil paradise in the resort rooms closest to SAB, you would never know that construction was going on staying in the villas, aside from the sign in the lobby pointing out extra activities.

So we are staying at the Drury the night before our stay at YC. We check in on 2/23(Sunday, but this is a race day) We plan to go to MK that day and planned to drop the car off at YC and take the bus to the park (early, early, we like to rope drop) I’m afraid of road closures and delays. Does anyone have any insight on this? It would make our afternoon easier to just take a bus back to the resort or should we just park at TTC?

You definitely don't need to justify your excitement! I think people were worried about you; they didn't want you to end up disappointed when you arrived if you had been unaware of the construction.

Thank you for this! We are staying at the YC in April and plan on sleeping in a few days. This makes me feel a little better about our choice.

I always bring ear plugs and white noise in case I need it (and having them might give you peace of mind in case you get a room close to construction) but didn’t need either on this trip. We were in a room facing away from the construction and the villas are far from the pool.

I am not sure if anyone can answer this but we have the option to switch from the YC to the BCV for our trip in late March. Does anyone have an idea as to which would be quieter? I read the villas are more noisy but with construction going on at the YC, I am curious if it would actually be less noisy but I am not sure? I have never stayed at the Epcot area resorts (actually I have only stayed in the moderates and AKL) so I have nothing to base this on. Thank you!
