Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Interesting, my call history shows me making a 14 minute call beginning at 6:08 AM 🤷‍♀️
In any case, I was not able to get my first, second, or even third choice of dates and ended up booking something I didn't really want.
It's possible it changed, but I know I had to call back after 7AM in Jan for a March cabana request.

I think we've seen how difficult it can be to get one of those 4 cabanas sometimes!

I agree. We stayed there in 2021. Last year, I rented points at the Poly. It was lovely and I am glad to cross it and a monorail resort off my wish list, but I realized I much prefer the Epcot area resorts. Sadly, because of the pool closure next year, we’ve opted to not stay at Yacht next year. I rented points at Boardwalk instead. Again, it has long been on my wish list, so I’m sure I’ll love it. But we’ll be back at Yacht or Beach eventually.

We stay at the BWV mostly when it’s just me and my wife and we love it there. BCV for family trips because of the pool for our grandchildren. The Polynesian was our bucket list place to stay and we did in 2019 and felt the same way you did. While it was nice we much prefer the BW and BCV because of their location and proximity to so much to do.

I’m sure you’ll really enjoy the BW!!

It’s funny because I’m the total opposite—while I enjoy the vibe of Crescent Lake and the convenience it gets very samey to me after a while and I prefer the monorail loop for a week long trip. But my absolute ideal trip is a split between them. We did that last year, when we spent the first few days at YC and then moved to Poly for the rest of the trip and it really is the best of both worlds. Only reason we’re not doing it in September is it’s a land/sea trip where our park days are limited.

We're headed back to BC in a few weeks for the first time in a few years. Anything new that I should know about?

We were last there in June 2021. (I've been at least 3 times since then, but stayed at other resorts so I'm well familiar with G+, ILL, etc., just wondering if there was anything different at BC.)

Just back from a great stay at YC. Had a perfect resort view room - 1092. View of the ga ebo and side view of water and fireworks.

Booked a bounce back for June 22- August 2, 2025. Hard to choose between BC & YC. We love the vibe of BC, but couldn’t take a chance on the Juliet balcony.

Dee- add us to the 2025 Be Our Giest list whenever you have a chance!

I was looking at menus for all of the BC/YC restaurants on the Allears website. Most were updated some time this spring. I did notice that the Crew Cup lounge had a section called Appetizers and Starters but there was nothing else. Did this change? Is it now just apps like Martha's vineyard? No entrees? Bonus if there is a picture of the menu. TIA

We ate at Crews Cup in April, but I can't remember exactly what we ate. But I do remember that they hand you a menu that includes items not listed on the website menu. They post the full menu outside of the restaurant. So you can check it out when walking past. I had posted a picture of a menu last year, but many of those items were missing from the most recent menu. We've been disappointed that Crews Cup isn't as good as it used to be.

We used enjoy going to Crews cup on our travel day so we didn't need to make a ressie anywhere in case of delays. A while back it just wasn't that good so we stopped going. We were thinking of trying it again but I think we'll either get apps at Martha's vineyard or Ale and Compass. Yes we do like to enjoy a cocktail to start off the vacation and the middle and the end too.:drinking1After all it will be F &W

I miss that burger so bad. :( The Stack Burger over at CR is a worthy successor and probably better if I'm honest but it still stings that we lost it.

I had the Vermont cheddar burger from ale & compass somewhat recently. Got it on mobile order and was impressed with it. Maybe I was really hungry, but thought it was really good and packed well. Fries were hot and good too—but a little too salty (you can’t modify the salt on mobile order)

We leave in less than a week for our BCV stay over the 4th, and while catching up on the thread realized I forgot to add our dates. @natebenma Dee, can you add us to the BOG list, even if posthumously? July 1 - 5. Thank you! It was whittled down from a longer stay after the kids Summer activities were added in. But, we’re excited for fireworks, pool time, and our favorite rides! I’m assuming SB does something fun for the 4th? I’ve planned a late breakfast at Cape May, pool day at SB, and we’ll head to EPCOT in the late afternoon for rides and fireworks.

Interested in Turret Suite but having trouble finding it on thread, would appreciate some help! Thanks!

Unfortunately that room category is almost never talked about. I can only remember reading 1 report on it in all the years I’ve been on Disboards. Not sure if it was here or on the club level thread. You could try asking there too. But if you do book it please come back after with pictures.

We tend to eat at A&C. You can mobile order to go, eat inside, add yourself to walk up line, or eat at the bar.

The bar menu is larger now than 2020/21. If you get to the bar before 10p you can order food. The bar is open until 11p. You can also order drinks to go which is nice at the end of a long day. Menu is in the app and on website.

Leaving parks at 9p close, there is not much open to eat. The TS don't have reservations that late and the bar has saved us many times from starving lol.

1092 has a view of gazebo? it looks like the odd number of rooms are on that side.
