Hi stranger
I’m happy to see you’re going in April. Hope you have a wonderful time!
Remember pre Covid we had our March trips lined up perfectly and then ....Well, hello!I know, I haven't "seen" you in a bit! I haven't been spending as much time on the boards. I see you're going in July, that's awesome! We'll be at the BCV in August too!

Looking forward to July and celebrating youngest DD graduation that she didn’t have and finishing her first year as a high school science and ASL teacher![]()
Hopefully we can match our days up again on a future trip.
I agree going during her Spring Break was amazing. Thankfully she still has her summers, Thanksgiving, Christmas breaks and Mardi Gras week lol.Sadly, yes
Congratulations! How exciting! My DD is graduating HS this year and wince this will be her last April vacation, we decided to make a go of it. I absolutely love April down there
Hopefully! Like I said, we'll be there in August at BCV, then October at The Poly and December at BLT![]()
Here now and having a great time! I guess 4x a charm.. I was determined to make it here after this year. Heading to MK this morning. Still not sure which the best route is..
Thank you! I’m up but of course everyone else being lazy. We actually have breakfast resy at the wave for 7:30 do you think Uber to contemporary a better option??
Both the Market at Ale & Compass [YC] and the Beach Club Marketplace have a variety of "counter service" type breakfast offerings beginning at 7:00 AM. If you're up for a little walk you can also check out the Boardwalk Bakery. It will take you about 5 -10 minutes from the YC lobby.First stay at yc in June. Can someone tell me best place for counter service breakfast before heading to the parks? Or is it better to grab n go at the parks once i'm there?
Breakfast at the resort is better than waiting until you are in the parks. The offerings in the parks are limited and lines are long. It is better to get on as many rides as you can before the crowds build.First stay at yc in June. Can someone tell me best place for counter service breakfast before heading to the parks? My DD collects pressed pennies. Does anyone know, offhand, whether the pressed penny machines at YC/BC take a credit card or currency? I've read multiple threads where I'm getting conflicting information that some machines are credit card and some are still currency. Just curious about the YC/BC.
There are three pressed penny machines near the entrance of SAB. They take 2 quarters and a penny. They were actually the only ones we came across that took coins. Just got back home this morning. So happy to answer any questions I can.
So I’m really disappointed. I waited on hold for almost two hours, exactly 60 days before our check in at the Beach Club, to be told that they have no available cabanas for rental during our entire stay. I had a cabana secured last year along with everything else that we wanted, so I’m wondering if this is the sign that I should just cancel the trip.I also did our dining this morning, and that was pretty rough as well. Thoughts? Do you think we will get to swim without a cabana reservation? I don’t want to wait in a two-hour line to enter our resort pool.
That’s just something that I read from people who reported on various threads of Disboards, so I don’t know for sure. I just know that I don’t want to wait in a line to enter my resort’s pool. Since we are going Memorial Day week, I’m sure that’s why it’s so busy and booked up.Have there been lines for the pool?
We stayed at BCV during our spring break when park passes were sold out for all parks and first reports had come out regarding lines for pools. We went to the pool twice and did have to wait to enter SAB in the early afternoon, but the wait was quite short—between 5-10 mins. There is obviously still time, but it seems to me that MDW so far doesn’t look quite as crowded as the week of March 13-20 was. You can also keep checking for cancellations on the cabanas. I hope you have a good time! We will be there then too but across the lake at Boardwalk this time. That’s just something that I read from people who reported on various threads of Disboards, so I don’t know for sure. I would not cancel. It is WDW in the summer. It will be busy.So I’m really disappointed.
