Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

DW and I decided to pull the trigger and booked for the end of October! Our first YC stay.

Now to sit and watch how WDW opens, unfolds and adapts for the next 8 months... :surfweb:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

:cool1:

Hello everyone! Our family (3 grown children) is planning a WDW vacation for January 2022. Each child is going to make their own reservations at their financial comfort level. After much back and forth between BC, YC, and BW, I've made reservations for my husband and I at the Beach Club, and I'm beginning to have doubts. Currently I have a non-CL water view room. Our priorities are a full balcony, followed by a king bed. Looking at the touring plans website room finder, I don't see ANY rooms of this configuration at the Beach Club. Am I doing something wrong?

Background: we are Disney vets, but have never stayed at any of the Epcot hotels and they have been on our wish list for a while.

:welcome:

Sounds like a lovely trip. I think your choice to switch to YC is a wise one.

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:goodvibes

I think they should have replaced the clown with Dumbo instead of such a generic scene. Would have kept with the theming, but they didn't ask me.

:welcome: to posting on the thread!

They should have asked you. That's an excellent suggestion that would fit in perfectly with the boardwalk theme.

:thumbsup2

Never been to beach club but am considering it. I see that the water view rooms are almost 80-90 dollars more a night than the garden view rooms.

Is it worth the extra money? As I would only want that if I can actually see the boardwalk from my balcony ( if I can even sit on it )

Not to mention for the price of that water view, I could get a lagoon view at GF..( Never been here either but don't have the HUGE interest, prefer poly ;] )

Thanks

:welcome: to the thread!

You are really the only one who can decide whether the price difference is worth it for you, but for me, the view isn't really that important especially for the amount of time my family spends in the room. And that is especially true at the Beach Club, as you point out that many of the rooms (half) do not have full balconies.

You may want to consider staying at the YC to ensure a full balcony, whatever view you book.

When is your trip? Let us know if you book one of these resorts.

:goodvibes

Hi Everyone, I have not posted in FOREVER, but I always check in to see what's happening here. Especially now when so many of us can only get our Disney fix virtually...

I have a work convention at Coronado Springs scheduled in June (potentially!), and I am going to take the plunge and register for it. I want to spend a few days at the Beach Club prior to moving to Coronado. Has anyone had any luck booking trips there in June with the 30% off room promotion? Nothing in any category for my dates. The YC was available so I booked that, but really want BC. I will of course keep checking, but curious about what other's have experienced.

On another note, I ordered the Magic Candle Company "Beach Resort" candle a few weeks ago....I cannot believe how spot-on that is!! I ordered some extras for my kids. It takes me right to the BC lobby instantly! How do they do it?? And no, I am not affiliated with them in any way :)

:wave2:

:welcome: back!!!

I'll pencil you in on the Be Our Guest list for June at the Yacht Club.

:dogdance:

My family and I will be staying at YC for the first time May 28-June 6th. Could you add us to the "Be Our Guest" list? We are surprising our boys (7 and 10) with a trip since our DL trip last year was canceled and they have been awesome with all the school challanges this year. We thought the pool looked super appealing since it might be hot and we are more likely to take mid day breaks this year due to more days, heat, and current restrictions.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

:cool2:

We'll be at the YC the same time (we're from Seattle too 🙂)

All of the cabanas are now booked for that week, so if you wind up deciding to cancel your reservation, could you post a comment in this thread before you do??

I'll add you to the list! Is this trip a split with the Contemporary Resort?

:cool2:

Hi, Dee! Please add the Bourques to Be Our Guest for May 25-28. We can't wait!!!

:welcome: back!

Will do!

Beach Club Villas?

:woohoo:

I’m still trying to get my hands on a YC coffee mug since there were none to purchase during our trip and we couldn’t purchase the ones in the window display. I’ve emailed Disney merchandise, but someone said I could email the resort directly. How do I do that?
We are at the Yacht Club right now waiting for our room to be ready. I asked about the mug at the marketplace and they said that they were all sold out. He knew exactly which one you are looking for. In fact my husband remembers seeing it in January. But they don’t have it now.

thank you! One of the CM in the store had told me she didn’t know if they’d even be getting more because she thought they were getting ready to change the logo. Not sure how accurate that is but starting to seem more likely.

That is so frustrating!

There is construction work going on just outside of the Beach Club lobby in the courtyard. The area is walled off and people have to use the exit near Cape May instead of the lobby doors. I will try to find out more tomorrow.

I can confirm that the pirate slide is open and people are using it.

Anyone know if you can enter World Showcase early to have breakfast in France? Wife and I did it about two years ago. It was really nice.

With the 11am opening, I think they are letting folks in the park as early as 10:15am and you can walk to Les Halles in France. Hopefully Les Halles opens before 11.

Water view! It’s not that bad of a walk, but it is as far as you can get! We’re on the corner of the building near the dolphin. My opinion of the distance may change after our first full park day Tomorrow! 😂😂
I’ll take pics of the view from the side windows tomorrow. Too dark to see anything now.

Thanks so much for all the details about room 3001. I have added your pictures and comments to the YC Room View thread.

Were you able to get pictures from the side windows?

:thanks:

Disney website shows that Epcot opens at 11:00 today and Les Halles Boulangerie & Pattisserie in France opens at 11:00. I'm not there, so I can't speak as to whether the restaurant actually opens earlier or what time people are actually being let in through the World showcase entrance.

The boat to Hollywood Studios started running at 8am for the park opening at 9am this morning

The concrete is torn out around the big planter in front of the Beach Club lobby doors on the lake side. It looks like they are replacing it. Stay tuned for further construction updates later. :)

Here are the construction pictures that I took this morning
