Resort Thread Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE

The old courtyard view has been split into the new resort view, and the water view. The first section of the wing off the main lodge section can't see the pool / water unless you stand on the balcony and look only to your left you may see the Pool umbrellas but that's about it. Your view will be landscaping when looking down, the CCV wing directly across the courtyard, and the Main lodge just to the right.

@maryj11 you can request a view of the upper courtyard as it provides 10+ additional rooms that you might be assigned in your 3 requests since you are also wanting 3 room near each other.

Dave
Okay thank you!

We just returned from a four night stay and had a great time. But I did have a bit of an issue with the room. We paid for a water view room and were given room 6061. It overlooked the roof and part of the upper courtyard.

I talked to the reservation manager and asked if this room could be charged the resort view rate because it overlooks the roof. But she said that because we could see some water from the room that it was water view. They did offer to move us to another water view room but we were already unpacked and my husband didn’t want to move.

I agree-would definitely classify that as resort view.

Wow that’s not water view I’d be wanting some money refunded 😑 We had a standard view a few years ago and looked just like that. If you leaned out and looked left you could see the electric water parade.

I argued at the BLT over similar situation and they whipped out their desk map to argue their point…I eventually got some points refunded

Uhhh… so if I correctly understand vantage point from the first photo, you can see a sliver of water, but only if on the balcony and angled to the left. Zero water view from the room itself?! Yeash.

Has there been any clarification as to what work is being done?

I see Copper Creek will be refurbed in May, but is that all? Considering booking a stay on the cash side of the resort, but will book elsewhere if the pool or other common areas will be refurbed.

No official list of what is happening in 2025 other than the major refurbishment of the Copper Creek side of the WL. You will hear and see construction work while at either pool.

As @FSU Girl indicated they are currently doing maintenance on the main lodge roof. They are done prepping for the final painting of the roof.

The rooms are being refurbished. Through September as of right now. Hotel side not affected.

Bus q- do all buses share with CR after a certain point in the day going WL-CR-Destination? (Figuring out best option to CR in the evening potentially with an ECV.)

The Epcot bus and the MK bus do not share with CR. Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs share buses wth WL and CR. I think the Disney Springs bus goes to CR first, then goes to WL. While the HS and AK buses go to WL first, then CR. But ask when you get there to be sure.

The Epcot bus shares with Ft Wilderness.

Wonder if they are still doing the interior rehab? Would make sense to do both at the same time.
I would guess that the exterior work on the CCV would be the same kind of work they did on the WL building. There was scaffolding put up a section at a time. And the work included painting the balcony rails. There was some roof work, too.

Agree, I was there in September when they were doing a lot of the exterior work. CCV is supposed to be undergoing room renovations starting in May. I was wondering if that got canceled or changed.

The top announcement is an old announcement, however, I was posting to show the bottom current notice regarding Whispering Canyon.

Yep! It is on the dining page about the restaurants in May 2025! It's a weird way of posting the information (on Disney's part, not by @mrsap).
