We're looking at WL for our trip in August. I apologize if this question has been asked/answered already but I didn't see it when I scrolled through the thread.

Can the bunk bed rooms be requested? And are the bunk beds standard twin size?

Thanks!
You can ask for a bunk bed room we did on our first stay, they are twin size, but be careful who is traveling with you..DS 5 loved it but my DS was 15 at the time his arms touched the floor and his feet hung over the edge when he slept! He was a trooper though and never complained about it.He said he'd rather sleep like a giant then sleep next to his brother

Too funny! Our teens (ages 14 and 15) slept in the AKL bunks last month and I heard zero complaints. They are always happier in their own beds (no matter the size) than sleeping next to a brother.

Thanks so much! We're OK with different floors for the lounge - just stayed Poly CL and AKL CL earlier this month and we don't mind. I checked the price of villas for similar dates this year, but we would need a two-bedroom, which significantly increases the cost and we lose CL. When helping organize three boys and two parents, while running three races, CL is really helpful to me!

I'm traveling with just the boys for Spring Break this year and we're staying standard CL at WL - wonder if I could take a quick look at a deluxe room while I'm there. If it's too cramped, BWI deluxe would be my back-up plan, but the boys are voting for WL right now!
Have you considered a villa? We stayed in a 1 bedroom last trip..Im pretty sure we will be staying in those from now on..lots of room, the kitchen was handy for drinks/ snacks (and lazy teens that don't want to get up early for breakfast) plenty of room for, everyone to spread out and relax..pure heaven..

We did consider a villa! But it's princess half marathon weekend and I'm running three races in three days, managing our three boys and hosting my parents. In other words, I really need CL!!! Need breakfast, snacks, drinks, appetizers and dessert to magically appear! :) And we'd need a 2-bedroom for the 6 of us, so it would be nearly double the cost. They do look so spacious!!

I am beyond excited for the WL!!!!!! I am booked in a Courtyard View room. My TA called today and added my room requests- 4th floor king bed, inner courtyard. Since it will just be myself, I don't need 2 queens so eventhough I will be happy either way, a king would be a little better for me. November is too far away!!!!!! Hurry!!!!!

:crazy:Well DH was talking to DS about restaurants today and he slipped up and blabbed about us staying at the Wilderness Lodge before I could stop him, so that meant the surprise is out of the bag now!! On a good note DS is delighted about this and is busy watching videos of the resort as I type this so all is good after all . It was where he has been he strongest memories of being on past visits to the WCC and he remembered the pool there. So now we are all getting excited since our ADRs need booking on Friday and we can't believe how quickly the weeks have flown over since we made our reservation.

Our kids love anticipating the trip and knowing where we'll stay. The one time we truly surprised them was last year. We had just been at WDW in February, and in March, we were visiting my parents at the beach for a week. During the March beach trip, we surprised them with an overnight at Poly (we have APs.) They said that was great for the overnight, and because it was their favorite resort. But otherwise, it's fun for them to know - glad your son is enjoying the news!!!

Is the cow bell outside the arcade still there? Seems like I read a long time ago that's its gone. It's been a few years since we've been and my boys just loved ringing that thing! I mentioned it might be gone and they said they would have to bring their own!

Hello can anyone help me with regards to coffee???
We are staying in a one bedroom villa at WL and I understand there is a coffee machine- I'm looking on garden grocer & you can buy basket filters - will I need these ? Also what sort of coffee should I get for it? I'm from uk and am not used to your products - but need a good cup of coffee in the morning ( or two!)
Many thanks

All four of them were there last week.

A few pages back (of course now I cannot find it!) some wonderful member of our amazing thread:flower1: posted that:
the scafolding has moved from the south side of the innermost courtyard to the north side ( I thinkkkkk someone posted that it WAS outside the bear-faced rooms.)

Logic would state :mic: :P that this would mean once 'they' were finishing with this scafolding work in the inner most courtyard, they would move on to other parts of the resort so IF/WHEN we arrive in June into our most favorite inner most courtyard room, there should not be any scafolding??????:ssst:

How far am I stretching here????

:cloud9:

We just left WL on Monday and the scaffolding was still on the courtyard side of the south wing (near the end of the wing nearest the lake). I believe that there was some on the bear-face rooms nearest the north wing. One of the CMs told me that as soon as they finish the courtyard side of the building they will be moving to the perimeter of the resort.

it was there at the end of january!

Yay!! The family will be happy now. Isn't it funny what little things help 'make' the trip!

When you first check in you will have a couple pods, round filters filled with coffee, for the next morning. After that, you are on your own.

Hi yes I know we get a few samples of coffee but I'm planning on doing a garden grocer shopping delivery to WL and wondered what brands / type to get. We won't have a car and as we are from uk not sure about brands etc.

Yeah, they are using the Cuisinart pod machines. These are far less common than the Keurig K cup ones, and the cups are not interchangeable. There is a thread discussing these pod machines and getting coffee for them here. In the worst case Roaring Fork is on the first floor...

The villa has a ten cup coffee maker with a basket filter. You would need to bring basket filters and extra coffee. The studio has a four cup coffee maker with a basket filter. :)

You would buy ground coffee for the coffee maker - whatever flavour you like.

It is the WL resort rooms that have the pods, not the villas. :)
