We had no idea until we walked up to our room - we got a text that our room was ready and a CM met us up on the club level floor...we didn't realize what was happening and were super confused! I suspected it's because it was our first trip as a family, because we were later arriving (around 4pm), because we had a package for just a few days ("Kid Size Magic" or something like that, so easier to move us around), or we just got lucky? We could see the fireworks every night from our room, and we really loved the club lounge amenities.
Whatever their thinking, I guess their strategy worked.....we are booked for club level for our next trip, haha!

We had to cancel our trip this coming week . We are rescheduling for the week after Thanksgiving. I have been searching for a room and did manage to get 3 nights at CCV. I wanted to book more nights at CCV or WL, but nothing is coming up.
My question is are these really all sold out or will more rooms be released?

I have been trying to help friends of ours get rooms for that week… both settled for resorts they don’t want because nothing is available for their dates. I’ve been checking daily for them with nothing new popping up. It’s typically a ‘slow’ week, as far as Disney goes, but looks like it will be on the busy side this year.

They don't hold back rooms. There is a possibility that someone, or many people, will cancel and you will be able to add some nights. The whole month of December books up early, especially at the Wilderness Lodge, which has some of the most Christmasy Christmas decorations.

CCV is pretty much sold out to DVC members, so there is very little inventory for cash stays through Disney Reservation Center.

Okay thanks. I would take WL if any pops up. I did manage to get 1 more day at CCV by itself. Hopefully I can call and have it made into one reservation later on.

Anyone staying at WL this week, that can post the activities (activity sheet of thing to do, for kids) ? Our trip isn't for a while, but I just like to see what they've got going on, what some of the options are, even though it'll no doubt change by the time I go.

Are there some copper creek 1 beds that are smaller than others? I was looking at pics online and noticed the bathroom layouts are different than the one we stayed in a few months ago. We had 2 tiny sinks in each half of the bathroom with absolutely NO counter space at all. It was awful. Our room was on the 5th or 6th floor and looked out over the roof towards the front of the lodge. It was a terrible view and now I’m thinking it’s a smaller room and we just got screwed all around. Not sure why it’s sideways

When I decided to switch to WL for our upcoming trip, I randomly woke up early one morning (think 4 am eastern), checked and there was availability. Since it was my birthday when I did this, I'm calling the upgrade a birthday present to myself. And I can't even talk about it because I haven't told my husband or kids about the change.

I saw the sneak peek photos of the test hall and room. Was hoping there was something that showed the full concept that I missed.

I kept moving our room type down once the AP discounts came out. Everyday I would check. Went from Courtyard to Nature to Standard. We checked in today. They gave us a Nature Fireworks view. Thanks WL!

We always seem to get treated well at the WL. We always book a standard view room, and on at least 3 occasions have been surprised with a free upgrade. Nature view and courtyard. Frankly, I don't think there is a bad view in the place. We don't even mind the "smokehouse" standard view as it has a pretty good view of the contemporary and fireworks. (Especially now that the tree line is cut down a bit).
