Does anyone know anything about the availability of getting two standard rooms that connect with a door at Wilderness? Are there many of this type of setup available? We're looking at nature view rooms, if that's helpful. Thanks!

I only know that they exist. I don't know how many standard rooms have connecting doors.

ANYONE get a club level room book for wilderness lodge today ? I’m trying to get a few nights between christmas and New Years. On hold now

Dec. 18-23 Standard Club Level. Booked this morning. Having sticker shock, but want to surprise my 94 year old mom.

I was able to book a Standard Club Level room online for 12/25 to 12/29 on Thursday. Looked the next day and no availability so glad I did it! Looking forward to coming home to Wilderness Lodge and the Old Faithful Club after 7 years away. Have tried and enjoyed other Club Levels but really looking forward to Wilderness Lodge at Christmastime!

Connecting rooms exist, but it is a request only - they do not guarantee connecting rooms.

(Just a PSA - when you make the request, make sure to use the term "connecting". Many people think it means the same as "adjoining" but it does not in hotel-speak.)

Oh ok, maybe there is a glitch or something. I looked yesterday and it was fully available and today it is completely blank, so I thought something may be up.

If you are not a member, that tool you are looking at is not official availability. It's just someone's grab of the info. There is no way they shut down the entire BRV building because DVC owners would be livid. They only shut down a small portion at a time for renovation.

How are the newly redone rooms?

In what I am calling a moment of weakness, I changed to a Courtyard View King room when I saw the Bambi wall with the coffee area. As it was my first movie and this is for my 50th birthday it seemed like that would be fun. TBH WL has never been on my list as I am not really a Western girl.

I was looking today and found Garden/Woods at Beach Club - yes, it’s more but I was ok with that. But for some reason my wonderful TA cannot see the rooms (I have looked on 3 different browsers in incognito mode and see them on all 3 so I don’t know what is wrong with her system) so I feel stuck (it is too close to the 30-day final payment mark to book it on my own and cancel what I have with her and wait for the refunds) and am trying to get the enthusiasm back for WL.

Please tell me the big pros for WL and if anyone can comment on the new rooms, that would be awesome.

(I am creeped out by public pools, so the whole SAB thing at Beach has nothing to do with it.)

You could ask your TA to call WDW if she can't see on her system to make the switch. The CM she gets by phone may be able to see the BC room.

WL: quiet and relaxing. Two pools. Geyser point has the best views of the water (bonus for EWP) and food. Territory Lounge is open as is Whispering Canyon and Roaring Fork. Boat to MK is such a nice ride. The lobby is second to none and a great place to enjoy a drink. Watching the ducks in the creek out to the lake or the geyser going off is so nice. It’s more lodge-y and even national park-ish vs. just Western.

I don’t care for Beach Club. The pastel beach theme doesn’t do much for me and Stormalong Bay is just too big and hectic for us.

Made a Cali Grill reservation for 7/1 hoping Fireworks would return and viola!…

Anyone know if it would work to leave CG immediately after the fireworks and walk through security back to MK for the boat or bus back to Wilderness Lodge? I’m unsure if security will allow it as MK is listed as 9p close. Uber/Lyft is a pain as we need both a booster and a car seat. Thanks!

So we just got here today. Spent 3 days at a universal and then came over to WL today and it’s our first time here. It’s so so amazing! We gave our stuff to bell services and explored and then had a late breakfast at Whispering Canyon. Then went into MK and will be here all day as we have a 7:50 ressie for Skipper.

My question is we did the online check-in last week. They obviously know we are here. They have our bags, we’ve had a grocery delivery which they are holding but it’s 5:30 and we still haven’t received any notifications that our room is ready.
Is it normal to take that long? Or do they just know we are in the parks obviously and are just not in a rush to have it ready/let us know?
