SOOOOO excited to be staying at WL again!! I convinced DH that we needed a Disney get away in November and that I'd pay for it with a bonus I have coming up (since we're out of DVC points) and I'd keep it on the "cheap"....well, as cheap as we do Disney... :rotfl2:

our dates our Nov 10-14 which is over Veterans holiday so we know it will be busy but those are our free dates too and we're fine with it!

I originally could only find a BWI room so I booked it.....but I like to get QS breakfast and bring it back to the room and BWI doesn't have a lot of great options so I kept checking the website. Then I found a "2 queen nature view room" @ WL and it was cheaper so I booked it!

and then DH asked the other night if our room had a couch so he could watch tv and drink wine after a long day in the park (can you tell that staying at CCV has spoiled him??) .....of course they don't, but wouldn't you know, they had a 1 br at BRV so I snagged that!

Now, my "lets go to Disney cheap budget" has been blown but I don't care! :rolleyes1:rotfl2:
I always say I’m doing budget trip, but it ends up that way😂

The pictures look so amazing! We check in next week for our first stay at WL! Am I correct that there are NO microwaves in the standard rooms? I watched a video of a tour and I didn't see one, unless I'm missing it?

Thank you for the quick response! I read somewhere that Disney was switching out fridges for “beverage coolers”. They look similar but they don’t get as cold. People were saying their food/milk were spoiling. We’re planning on buying milk and keeping it in the fridge so I’m hoping it’s cold enough. Thanks again for your help and Enjoy your trip!!
We found if you pull the beverage cooler out a little, so there are about 3-4 inches between the back of it and the wall, it helps air circulation and seems to be colder!

Unfortunately, there are no microwaves in standard rooms. However, in the past, if you called and requested one, they will bring one up. Not sure if that is still the case since Covid, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. Good luck!

so true!! and this "budget trip" is NO exception! We started off pondering a stay at the Swan using SW reward points - and somehow ended up with a 1 Br @ BRV!

I do benefit from having a "high maintenance" vacationing DH, so I don't like to complain about it!

🤣

Same here! Started out with a BRV studio, ended up switching it to a 1BR for the 10 nights, and not on points this time..... Can't wait!!!

Touring Plans room finder may be able to help you here. Sort by nature view and see where those rooms are then make your request based on rooms facing MK.

In 2019 we had standard view and wound up with a great fireworks view. Not sure if it was an upgrade or just luck. The view was of the service area so not great during the day, but at night we could see the castle and fireworks. Fourth floor.

How was the noise in the standard view rooms that are above the service area? Super loud/starting early in the morning?

We booked Boulder Ridge for the beginning of Feb., 2022 and are very much looking forward to our stay - it's been YEARS since we stayed at Wilderness. GF, Poly and Wilderness were available, we hemmed and hawed and ended up at Boulder Ridge. We usually visit Geyser Point each visit so we figured we might as well make it easy on ourselves :lmao:

Geyser Point. The best quick service sit down atmosphere restaurant and food in all of WDW! (And still a pretty well kept secret)!

I just bought after hour tickets for Boo Bash when we will be staying at WL. It says on our email the tickets are will call. Can I pick up our tickets at WL? I have never had will call tickets.

I was just looking at a DVC availability tool for Boulder Ridge and it looks like the entire month of February is blocked out and unavailable to book. Looks like that might be when they are planning the hard goods renovation.

February is fully bookable at BRV on the member page. I wish they would start though. We are excited to stay there post remodel. Last DVC on our list, besides OKW, that we havent stayed at.
