The traveling production is coming to a theater near us and I am dying to see it! I was thinking that just DH and I would go, but after reading a few reviews of the Broadway version on google, I'm wondering if our DD's (5 and 7.5) would enjoy the show? Anyone take their children?

I want to make my decision soon before the show goes on sale to the general public. If we take the kids, we are sitting in the balcony. If just DH and I go, we will spend the money to get "better" seats.

I saw it on Broadway when I was 8- it's the only thing I remember from that trip to NYC. It was amazing!!! I do remember that I got scared at one point- the hyenas approached the stage by walking up the aisles, and cackling at the audience. I had an aisle seat and jumped. If you're sitting in the balcony though, you should be fine! I honestly can't recommend it enough!

We took DD when she was about 5 or 6 and she loved it. We had not seen it before and I was planning to sit in the balcony because I personally like to sit there, but someone in line recommended getting seats on the main floor on the aisle and it was well worth the extra $$. The animals came right past us and Simba ran right past us also.

It is an awesome show and we would definitely go again.

Well, thanks guys! I just purchased the balcony seats ... first row in the center. I'd love to sit on the floor, but I'm conerned about the bathroom situation during intermission with my DD's as much as anything ... it is much faster to get to the bathroom from the balcony.

You are going to have an amazing time. It is truly breathtaking...
I really wanted to go when it came here but I couldn't imagine spending the money. DH couldn't believe we wern't going to go. After hearing all his coworkers talking about it he took matters into his own hads and bought tickets for the last show. At first I was a bit upset wondering why he'd spend that kind of money that we really did not have on a show considering our kids were young. They were 4,7,and 11 (I think). Well, I was totally wrong. The girls didn't have any problems in fact I don't even think they blinked during the show let alone move or get restless. It was sooooo beyond amazing, and they loved it as much as we did. It litterally broght me to tears (I did not expect to be moved like that but I was.)
I loved, loved, loved it and would go again in a hearbeat!!!
Have a wonderful time!!!

We're going to see this in early May. I can't wait to see the kids' faces...not that I'll be able to tear my eyes away to catch a glimpse of them. I haven't heard anything but rave reviews for this show. :)

We just saw it in Aug. It was awsome!! My dd is 9, all ages of children were there from a baby crying to teenagers, all the kids loved it, try to get an aisle seat you wont regret it :thumbsup2
