In 1987 Disney released The Brave Little Toaster and I remember seeing parts of it on The Disney Channel and I thought it was pretty neat. It was also based on a book of the same name and Disney made two sequels to it. Was The Brave Little Toaster one of Disney's least profitable films when it debuted in 1987 and how did it do in theaters? I think Disney could do a remake of The Brave Little Toaster with computer animation and it would be a smart hit if it was made

Technically the original wasn't created by Disney, though they did own the rights. They transferred it to a smaller production house, Hyperion Pictures, which was made up of some former Disney folks and some who would eventually be at Pixar. Disney did have the television and video rights and the theatrical run was limited. It didn't make a lot of money, but ended up ebing super popular on TV/video and spawned two sequels that Disney did produce, though they were straight-to-video.

Oh my goodness…I loved the Brave Little Toaster series of movies!

Was it in theaters? I only remember watching it on the Disney Channel in the 80s. My mom taped it off TV for me.

According to Wikipedia it was, but a very short television window undercut any significant box-office potential.

What is The Brave Little Toaster about? And does it have a big celebrity voice cast?

I caught this movie on tv as a kid and loved it immediately. One of my fave movies of all-time!

Didn't The Brave Little Toaster also feature music by Little Richard? Because the preview trailer had Tutti-Frutti by Little Richard and I wonder if Little Richard featured his songs on The Brave Little Toaster soundtrack?
