Disney's Spirit Of Aloha @ Polynesian Resort

I would like people to tell me general info about Disney's Spirit of Aloha. If you have seen it, I would appreciate it if you would tell me your reviews on it. I am aware that it is probably not as good as Hoop-Dee-Doo, but we are dining there on our upcoming trip and we still have two more table service meals left in our dining plan. I would appreciate your experiences and any other info you can give me. Thanks!!!

Yes, we definitely had more fun at Hoop dee doo but we enjoyed the luau show too. I had booked early so we had great seats right in front.

After the first part of the show when everyone come outs and they give a little synopsis of what the show is about they call all the little kids up and give them a quick hula lesson. Then the real show begins. They perform dances from the different pacific islands, ending with a fire dance.

The food was good but not memorable.

No, it isn't as good as HDDR. Not even close...but you didn't ask that!

When we were there in January, they had changed it a bit. Took out some of the (very dumb) story and had more focus on Luau stuff - hula dancers and fire eaters. I was extremely pleased with the change. Aside from the stupid story, I like the Poly Luau.

The food isn't really all that "ethnic," or whatever. I'm not adventurous in my eating, and can eat everything they serve. It is pretty good, really. People who ask for something special, though, wait a long time for it.

When you get there, they send you to have your picture taken. If you don't want to buy their little picture package, don't do it. It isn't like you have to!

Lots of folks wear Luau clothes, so if you feel like it, by all means.
