Resort Thread Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE Resort

If we are in the Royal Room which bus stop is best to go to?
Also what is the phone number to call and do a room request?

I was originally booked in AB in a preferred room on a bounce back . Unfortunately I had to change my dates by 1 day and now there is no availability for preferred so I booked a Garden View. We are a party of 5, two adults and three kids ages 9,6, and 4. Will we be in AB and what building would I want to be close to the food court?

Thanks in advance.

Request AB. That will give you better chances to score an AB room.

Yes you will be in AB. I would request bldg 15.

To be honest, we were in building 28 (non-preferred) and it was a 2 minutes walk to the lobby.

With a group of 5 all over the age of 3, they would only be put in AB.

Building 15 is preferred, which ollyg was not able to book. Buildings 16 and 17 would be the closest non-preferred buildings.
You're right, that was a typo. 16 is the one I would request. We were on the back side of 17 once and I thought that was a bit far from the food court.

Does anyone know if the large pizzas in Riverside Mill can be purchased with 1 CS credit??

Last time I used the dining plan for those pizzas, it was two cs credits. You also get two desserts and two beverages.

We have decided to add on one night at the beginning of our trip at POR and I am so excited! Never seen it and always wanted to. We're hoping for Alligator Bayou for the extra bed. We will probably be in about 8 so assuming the kids fall asleep, I can leave DH with them and explore after dark! In the morning I think we might rent a surrey bike and check out POFQ. Then the pool before checkout, and headed to VGF! Haven't yet decided if we'll take a cab over with our bags, or let Disney take them, and go to DTD for a while in between. No parks that day, just exploring both resorts. SO excited!!!

We got home last week from 10 wonderful nights at POR! This was our first stay at this resort and I must say, it is beautiful. We found this resort to be so relaxing and beautiful with the river flowing by. I wish I was sitting in that gazebo right now watching the horses stroll by. All 7 people in our group loved this resort for so many reasons. The food court had some great choices and was really good. I really enjoyed the pasta station! Breakfast was really busy but the rest of the day wasn't bad as far as crowds were concerned. The resort is big but I didn't mind the walk, we were in the Magnolia building. It took maybe 5 minutes to get to the lobby and food. The only negative comment I would have would be the buses. Almost every time we got on a bus we had to stand, they were so crowded. I don't mind standing occasionally, but having to do it every time, especially after a long day in the parks, it gets a little annoying. The buses made 3 different stops in POR and there were a few times the buses would stop by French Quarter and pick up guests there as well which took more time than I liked to get to and from the parks. Other than the bus situation, I loved POR and would love to return!

Hi, not long till we come to POR from the UK on our first family trip to WDW. I have a couple of questions to help with my packing lists if anyone can help please.

1. I don't need to bring any towels - is this correct? Towels are provided in room and at the swimming pools? Can we take the pool towels to the Disney waterparks?

2. In the room I understand there is a coffee machine. I like a drink on a morning - do we get supplied with coffee and sugar regularly? Can I buy milk from the shop at POR?

Thanks in advance
Diane

1. Correct, towels are provided at the pool and in your room. Yes, you can take the towels from your resort to the water parks, they all go to the same place to be laundered.

2. You will get coffee and supplies replenished every day. Yes, there are 1/2 gallons of mild for sale at Fulton's General Store.

Thanks for the speedy reply! :thanks:

Im sure I'll think of more questions before we get there!

Our first stay at POR is coming up quickly! Check in April 11th and out Apr 14th. I am going to fax our room request 3-5 day before our arrival. It's just my wife and I and i'm thinking of keeping the request simple. We have a King Bed booked and I'm going to request 1) non-parking lot view 2) non-connecting room and 3) highest floor. We don't mind being further from the food court/check-in but I'm debating on requesting AB or just seeing what we get. Any other suggestions?

Hallo...

This is a garden grocer friendly resort yes? And they'll hold our order at Bell Services if I am not present when it's delivered?

Thanks in advance!
