However in the case of the Poly, only if you can walk on water. Personally I'd take a boat or the monorail first.

That's a shame, as I've been led to believe you could in another thread. And there are walkways shown on the MDE map...

Sorry, my mistake. I was thinking of the MK TTC not the actual park gate where the bus stops are...

:yay:Only 4 more sleeps until we're back at our beloved POFQ! :yay:

Anybody know if the poor refurb or repair or whatever is going on is on track so that it'll be open on March 1?

:rotfl2: Well, I keep trying but I'm just not there yet. Actually, I've been told by a certain podcaster to stay out of the lakes anyway. ;)

Well, you really can't walk from TTC to CR. There is no sidewalk most of the way. Disney doesn't want you walking there. It's not safe.

I'm guessing she was thinking of walking from the TTC to the Poly.

Thanks for the help! I'm guessing in 90 degree heat and humidity I'm probably not walking more than I need to anyway. :faint:

We're just here for a short stay but just wanted to check in to say how much we're enjoying the convenience of this compact & quiet resort.

Here's a note about the boat service to and from DTD that all of you should be aware of: As of Saturday, February 22nd, the boats from POR/POFQ are dropping off and picking up at Pleasure Island. The dock at the Marketplace is now closed.

Our bus to EPCOT around 8 am yesterday picked up here at FQ first then went to all the stops at Riverside. Our bus to Animal Kingdom today at 7:30 am went directly to AK. We then transferred to a bus to AKL for our Boma breakfast ADR. Total travel time for us was about 50 minutes and Boma was able to seat us early when we showed up early.

FP+ worked like a charm for 'Soarin, Spaceship Earth and Mission Space. We did Test Track around 3:30 pm yesterday standby which was posted as 50 minutes but only took about 35. We also walked right onto 'Soarin at park opening but by the time we got off and looked at the standby monitor it read 70 minutes. The approximate wait for Elsa & Anna around 4:00 pm was an hour and a half to two hours (we didn't try to visit them.)

The line for FP+ appeared long for Kilimanjaro Safari's but took just 12 minutes before we were seated on a Safari vehicle. Then we sat on it for about another 10 minutes due to some animals being on the road up ahead. They had at least 8 buses full of passengers held up. It brought back memories of a past trip when we were the lucky ones in the first bus behind some rhino's in the roadway - great photos from that experience.

Tomorrow we must return to the frigid north once again but we don't fly out until late afternoon so we still have another 1/2 day of play.

Thanks for the update! We are checking into POFQ on Saturday. Do you know if the pool should be finished on time? My girls are excited to check it out. I can't wait to be back in the World! I just finished my Masters degree and this will be the first trip in many years that I haven't had to worry about completing school work while on vacation. I can't wait to just relax and enjoy family time in the most magical place on Earth :goodvibes

Hey Kathy Z, we were on the bus with you to AK yesterday. We were the family going to Tusker House. So exciting to see another Diser! Another note on the boat to DD. Give yourself plenty of time! Most boats are coming from Riverside and are pretty full in the evening hours. It took 4 boats for us to finally get on and our party of 7 actually had to split up onto 2 different boats. We are enjoying POFQ but really wish the pool was open! It really is a hassle going over to Riverside. Sometimes we like to just send the older kids to the pool for an hour in the afternoon. But it can take up to 20 minutes to get over to Riverside depending on how busy the golf carts are.

I am staying at FQ at the end of April (SO EXCITED :cheer2:) and I was at the 60 day mark yesterday so I went to do my online check in. I had wanted to request a top floor but the only floor options were ground floor and 2nd floor. Anyone have any idea why the third floor wasn't an option?

It's not a big deal, but I was curious about it.

Thanks!

Hey there, family we shared the bus with on Tuesday! You and Andre have answered the questions asked of me. We only spent 3 nights at WDW this time but enjoyed almost 5 days since we arrived at noon on Sunday and didn't have to catch the ME until 3:10 pm yesterday. The morning boats to DTD had plenty of room at the FQ stop and the return to FQ around 2 pm was only about 1/2 full.

The first sign of any rain we saw during our FL trip which began on Feb. 15 (we stayed on Sanibel Island our first week) was on the ME while on the way to MCO yesterday.
