We are a grab and go breakfast family, granola bars or muffins, yogurt or a banana that kind of breakfast in the room or waiting for the bus. New to POFQ, wondering if we can buy that stuff the night before at Sassagoula? I saw reference to having a "grab and go cabinet" there but that might have been an old article. Thanks.

Yes to their having yogurt or fruit to grab and go. We got some last night for breakfast this morning. One kind only, Greek strawberry, low sugar danon

They have some items in the bakery area but you'd need to get them before night. They weren't much left at night.

For any who are curious, we came in last night, hung at the bar and ate, it was full on Christmas. Got up this morning, not a speck of Christmas to be seen. All cleared and put away overnight. So on 1/1 Christmas decorations and on 1/2 none.

Hey, we are here too! Did you do the New Year's Eve party ? We thought it was really nice to have one here at the resort. We did the masks, got our pics with Daisy, and loved the music. Lots of fun!

We have done grocery stop in the past with Tiffany Towncars but thinking of using Magic Express transport this trip so no grocery stop.

Water bottles...Eight 12 oz bottles for $3.99. Only $3.19 with AP discount as they are in gift shop and not food court!

I need help! I am currently at POFQ in Building 2 and freaking out. We are in an adjoining room and can hear every thing our neighbours are doing. I want to stress that I don’t think they are necessarily doing anything wrong - they have a baby and babies cry. They are talking but not yelling. One of them appears to be taking a call outside and I just asked if she could keep it down and she waved me off. But I cannot sleep and this has been going on since 9pm. We are here for the marathon and I need to be up at 3am for the next four days. I picked this resort because everyone says it is so quiet and I am going insane. What can I do besides ask to be moved tomorrow? I am wondering if they will have any place to put us with the holidays and races and I know the resort was full. I want to cry right now.

I am so sorry. I know this won't help you tonight, but tomorrow check in the gift shop for earplugs. I always pack them for this exact reason. Fortunately I have only ever had to use them a few times.

I'm here now and we did the Party. It was very nice. It was fun being able to party with my DD who is 11. The favors, music, and characters were all a really great time!

I remember reading a post that someone mentioned it frequently is... wondered why? Is it because it fills up on its own and doesn't need a discount? The resort looks nice, I just couldn't pull the trigger and switch to CBR to save $.

Yes. It's a lovely resort and the smallest of the Moderates so books up without the need of discounts.

I did get a really nice discount through my TA that does agency exclusive deals. $180 a night the first weekend in November. It’s the only discount I’ve seen lately.

They refurbished the eating area in July 2016 so we were pleasantly surprised by the food changes. They have cold snacks and nibbles and a better choice of healthier breakfast items.The rooms have a fridge in the cabinet unit so handy to store supplies in. Sorry don't know water prices but over in the resort shop they do have the larger water containers, the gallon type, but these may take up too much room in fridge.

So I was going to cancel our reservation at POFQ in light of Disney's recent decision to extend EMH to Disney Springs' hotels. But then I got home and my husband waived the envelope with our luggage tags for magical express in my face, and suddenly all my anger about their decision disappeared as I started to daydream about us walking the banks of the Sassagoula River at sunset to find a nice spot for my husband to smoke his cigar while I sat down beside him with a Disney mug filled with cold lemonade and a good book in my hand to pass the time. And I thought about waking up on our non park days and strolling around the resort before taking a relaxing boat ride over to Disney Springs to explore the shops and eat at the restaurants our little town will never see. It was then that I knew I couldn't do it. I can't cancel our stay at POFQ. I haven't even seen it in person yet and I'm already in love.

We have been staying there for the past 10 years and you will not be disappointed. In fact last July we did a split stay for the first time, week at POFQ and a week at Universal's deluxe Portofino Bay. Now we did enjoy staying there, cc didn't. But for our last full day we got a cab to TTC, boat over to MK, later a resort bus to POFQ as we wanted to take the boat to DS. As we got off the bus and headed to the boat, I had a feeling of coming home.
Unfortunately we can't stay there in October as it is so popular that there is no availability no matter how we work our dates.

We have been staying POFQ for the past 10 years and this year is the first time they aren't available for our October dates. Checked Disney website, only Riverside. Looked on Virgin holidays and they had it but we faffed around that much that a week later it had gone.
CBR has so much construction that I wouldn't even consider it. It is way cheaper on UK site than POFQ, and I know that we will be at the parks during the day, but it's not a resort that has ever appealed to me.
