Resort Thread Disney's POP CENTURY Resort

Anyone know current hours at the smaller pools?
All Pools here at All-Star Sports are 10AM-10PM and I am "pretty sure" those hours hold Property-wide.

Unless there is inclement weather of course.

I recommend the Ear for Each Other facebook group. It's full of CMs who lost their job during the pandemic who have started home bakeries and other businesses. They deliver to the resorts or in the area.
Thank you!

We stayed at Pop from January 14-21st. Overall - if you picked Pop you've picked a great resort. Crowds were fairly low especially after the MLK weekend people left. I use an ECV but I didn't see too much waiting for the skyliner in the mornings either way. CM's were great. The room was well maintained & housekeeping every other day worked well for us. Requests for extra pillows or towels to the room was very prompt. We had 4 adults in the room (DH & I and two adult sons around 20 years old) plus an ECV. What works for us at any of the resorts is staggering our return times to the room - especially if we're showering at night. Also the first trip where I went to the GF spa for a manicure. That's a lot of fun and for the cost you get to use their relaxation room - just a really nice break.

Leaving in 3 weeks :)
Does anyone know how long it takes to get to Disney Springs ? and when the buses start?
Same for MK and AK?

Please see transportation post on page 1. Times are listed there.

First buses start before DS opens so early enough to get you to an ADR or water park that transfers at DS.

i searched the transportation page but there were no posts pinned to the top, any guidance

I just want a confirmation. I'll be there with my dad who doesn't have MDE and definitly will not have a Magic Band. I've created him under my MDE and have assigned tickets to him. I'll get him a plastic key card from the front desk. Am I right in assuming that the card will be good for unlocking the room, charging back to the room and entering the park? Or do I have to do something else in order for him to have access to the parks?

He’ll be fine with his card - they call it the Key to the World card because it does all those things. Have fun!

We were there 2 weeks ago and were told the bus for the Springs would not start until 10am which is the time the Springs opens. We called an Uber and were there in about 10 minutes. We got there about 940 and stores were not open yet but Starbucks was. Very peaceful there that time of day for a stroll. The first bus of the day for the MK and AK start 1 hour 15 minutes before opening time for resort guests. MK bus is was always busier than AK that time of day.

Oh, thank you so much!!b this is precisely the feedback I was looking for. 10 minutes isn't bad!!

Do you guys ever eat dinner at boardwalk or BC|YC.

Thinking of doing this our arrival night instead of springs. Do you find it too much of getting on/ off transportation? Looking at early June!

I think dinner at any of the Epcot resorts sounds like a great idea for arrival night. Just hop the Skyliner to CBR, change to the Epcot line, and voila! Easy walk to dinner! Since the Skyliner loads continuously, we prefer it to waiting for a bus to take us somewhere. (We stay at Pop when out of DVC points.)

@WEDWDW - Jinx!

Disney Skyliner has made it very easy to access the Crescent Lake Resorts from Pop Century.

And fun too!
We found the Skyliner to be a game changer for all resort dining!! We booked a few different resorts. Ones that weren’t actually on the Skyliner we’d take it to DHS and then bus to the resort. As long as your dining is during DHS park hours, that’s a great option too.

Even just hopping on the Skyliner for Riviera quick service is a blast. They have neat breakfast options and excellent pizzas.
