Resort Thread Disney's POP CENTURY Resort

I'm staying at Pop in May and chose it mainly because the Skyliner gives me easy access to other hotels and Epcot/HS for dining and drinking options (I'm 30-something and going solo). I've previously stayed at Coronado and loved the options on site so to me the Skyliner helps to make up for what Pop lacks in that department. It's a difference of about $300 to stay at Pop vs Coronado and I'm someone who looks at that and would rather just use the difference on food/drink/souvenirs.

It's looking like the cheapest flight home on Sunday isn't until 6pm. I don't plan on doing a park and instead was looking to hop around a couple resorts but don't want to lug around my bag. How does Bell Services work?

I'm mainly wondering if I should leave my bags at Bell Services at Pop, the hotel I stayed at for the trip, or if I can bring it with me to another resort I'm planning to eat or drink at and have them hold it for me? I'm probably going to take Mears back and not having to return back to Pop to depart to the airport would save me some time.

I've definitely read that but when I stayed at Coronado last year there was really nothing to keep anyone out of the pool gates once you were on the property. It was fenced in but I never had to show my room key or Magic Band to anyone/anything. Just wanted to check! It would make sense that resorts on the monorail or Skyliner that are easier to drop by would be a little more guarded about their amenities.
Discussing avoiding Disney policies isn't allowed on DISboards so I would recommend not continuing discussing pool hopping. It is not allowed, regardless if people can find ways around it.

I stayed at Pop as a solo traveler in November and had a great time. The convenience of the Skyliner is a game changer for this value resort, especially for visiting Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It was very easy to take the Skyliner to the Crescent Lake resorts to enjoy dinner and also to the Riviera resort for lunch and dinner. If staying out later than the Skyliner hours, I would use a Minnie Van or Lyft back to the hotel. The room was fine for one person - the bed was comfortable and the rainfall shower with hand-held wand was nice. I was in a quiet section, Bldg 1 which was close to Classic Hall and a short walk to the Skyline and bus transportation. After this trip, I decided that if I wanted to go to Disney more often and stay longer than 5 or 6 nights -- this value resort was a good choice, as opposed to a moderate with only bus transportation. Although, if I had a good rate at the Swan, Dolphin or Swan Reserve, I would upgrade.

I love POP as a solo traveler. Having that table instead of another bed is great! And I agree with you about the shower. I was about as far away as you can get from Classic Hall and Skyliner - room 2137 at the far end of the '50's building - so it was very quiet.

I stayed at French Quarter in December 2022 and then POP Sept 2022. As much as I love POFQ the transportation wasn't so good. The Skyliner is great for heading back to the resort for a mid-day break. I twice waited for over 30 minutes (DHS and then EPCOT) for a return bus at about 11AM to FQ. Even at the end of the day returning from EPCOT on the Skyliner was fast - long, long line but it moved quickly.

I'm sold on POP as a solo traveler.

Sorry for not answering your question on Bell Services, on my last day with an evening flight, I left my bags with Bell services and had a massage at the spa, lunch, and went back to the resort for a swim before Mears arrived at around 4:30 pm. I took an uber back to Pop from the Grand Floridian. Bell Services at Pop stored my luggage and after my spa appointment and lunch, I retrieved my smaller bag (had an image on my cellphone to make it easier for the attendantwith swimsuit and change of clothes. Before Mears, I went back to bell services for my checked suitcase and boarded the bus - it was a great last day and easy.

I was thinking of beaches and cream- primo or ale and compass.
All are great choices - trattoria al forno is good as well. And for signature dining, Toppolino's with access to the full menu at the bar and Flying Fish are great choices. just a Skyliner ride away from Pop Century, Plus, all the cast members at Pop were professional, helpful, and welcoming.

We went to trattoria al forno a couple years ago and I can’t recall the meal. I’m sure by the menu we would like and that was my other thought of a place.

Absolutely loved our stay at Pop. Got very close to our room request, got late check out, used Skyliner about ten times, grounds were immaculate, room was beautiful. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Wondering what time was late checkout? and cost?

Two questions:

1: I looked at the first posts and tried searching but it was too many pages. Where does the bus to MK drop you and does POP MK bus share with other resorts?

2: Preferred Pool View: Ground floor rooms, super loud? We're likely to be out most of of the time anyway. Where are the elevators in those buildings?
