Resort Thread Disney's POP CENTURY Resort

I know I’ve seen the info but can’t find it now! We’re headed to Pop in a few weeks. Wondering what time to head to buses or Skyliner for early entry at each park. Also I’ve read that Hollywood Studios opens even earlier than 1/2 hour for early entry - sounds like it might be Rise of the Resistance specific. Has anyone found that to be true - and what time does skyliner start running in the morning? Park hours below…
MK 9am (8:30 early entry), AK 8am (7:30), EP 9am (8:30), HS 8:30 (8? 7:45?) Thanks for any help or suggestions!
Post 1 of the Early Entry thread will answer all your questions and then some. It's constantly updated as things change, and posts on the last few pages are about the most recent experiences.

Not sure when the H2O contract ends. If anyone is at Pop and notices new shampoo/conditioner, etc, could you please let us know? Also, if anyone is able to grab a pic I’d greatly appreciate it and will update posts on page 1.

Thanks.

We just returned for a short stay at POP. Just my husband and I, no kids. We checked in Jan 1st. We did online check in, stating that we’d be arriving by 5pm. By 6pm our room still wasn’t ready, and since we had a dinner ADR I went ask the status at the front desk just so we’d know if we’d need to get ready for dinner in the lobby! Ha!

It was New Year’s Day, and we requested a king room, so I think that had something to do with the delay. Anyways, the CM checking on it was so nice and apologetic. He ended up giving us Genie+ for our Epcot day, and then his manager came by and said they were giving us Genie for our MK day too! How awesome is that?!! We were so thankful. And on top of that they got us in our king room at that time as well! Kudos to POP for excellent customer service.

And same H2O products. :)

WOW! Great Pixie Dust!!

After a couple of similar situations I now list my arrival time as 2-3 hours earlier than I think I'll actually arrive. Feel bad doing that but it's SO nice to arrive and have room ready!

I usually do that too but for some reason didn’t this time! But it worked out in our favor. It was such a nice surprise. I told my husband I wonder if they would have done that if I had gone up there angry and rude.

I know the question is rethorical... but the answer to that is no... It usually pays more to be nice. Anyway it's never the fault of the castmember to whom you're talking to so taking it out on them won't do any good for you.

Hi -- we're arriving tomorrow and while I've seen a few posts here and other threads about waiting until 5pm or later for rooms, wondered if anyone has recent experience at POP for timely room readiness or even better, early.

We'll probably be at POP by 10:15am or so tomorrow (airlines willing) and don't expect rooms to be ready, but it would be nice if we got them a *smidge* early after a few hours at the parks, it'll be an early morning for us.

I do know that of the 3 times we've been at POP (2020, 2021, 2022) we got "room is ready" once VERY early (8am!) and the other 2 times did not get a notification but stopped at the desk and was able to find a room that was early each time (probably midday). We've got 3 rooms in our group, so perhaps the odds are really against us.

Anyway -- just curious about recent arrivals.

What time did you put as your arrival time? I'd ensure that was 9:30 on your check-in form, if not earlier but by now it might be a little late to change it.

The challenge with checking in and out on weekends (especially during holiday season which we're at the end of) is that they often have hundreds of rooms to turn over on a Saturday or Sunday.

The last time we were there we arrived late morning and our room was ready about an hour later.

Oh -- meant to include that. I did put down 9:30 or 10am. And I did say to prioritize early arrival over everything.

I'm sure we'll be fine with whatever happens, but a 5pm check in would be tough! Fortunately the weather looks great and "worst" case would be a few hours at HS and then a relaxing afternoon at the pool.

Thanks everyone, hard to believe this trip is upon us. This is 6 adults (2 adult DSs + SOs) We had to delay for a 2020 trip (though DH and I went), then a 2021 trip was canceled due to someone getting covid and the other missing work until they met the return criteria because they lived with someone with covid. THEN Hurricane Nicole canceled our Nov '22 trip. Now we're set to go tomorrow. My DH gets a total knee replacement in mid January so if we didn't make it now, it would be many months. Whew! I know I've asked a million questions even though DH and I have been several times in recent years. Appreciate ALL the people that help!

Have a GREAT trip!!!

Hi all, I have a trip planned for late June. I am planning on having a grocery order delivered on our arrival day, probably around 6 pm and I was wondering if there are usually luggage carts available to use. We will be ordering 2 cases of water among other things, and it would be difficult to lug them to our room without a cart.

Yes, normally there are, as long as people return them after using them.

In the past, when looking at the front luggage services they were off to the right of that.

hi, maybe a silly question, but, my first day in on the 9th and my room hasn't been assinegned yet. I have already done the online check in thing (a loooooong time ago). Should I be worried?

Can you also ask bell services to deliver the groceries to your room? I also plan to get groceries on our upcoming Pop stay. Would I call them and ask or do I need to go over there?

Yes. Bell services will deliver to your room however there is a charge of $6 billed to your room if they deliver the groceries to your room. You can just push the button on phone in your room for luggage assistance And request they deliver your groceries. You must be in your room when delivery is made.
