Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

I scrolled back a bit to check, but didn't see anything. According to the website, the Petals Pool Bar only opens at 11 AM and only serves alcoholic/soft drinks. But someone said this was the schedule in July. As a big fan of specialty coffee, does anyone know if that was just temporary for construction?

EDIT: just got confirmation that this was, in fact, temporary for construction! No espresso on site at Pop, so I'll be trudging over to CBR to get my fix :)

Do the doors here allow for a scooter to enter?
When we took stroller(s) we actually liked the value and Mods better because you can park it right inside the door. At the deluxe you had to wheel it to the back of the room, so it's tracking wet or dirt through the whole room.

Are mug refills available at Petals pool bar? Never mind just found the answer on the first page

Happy Halloween to all from Pop. Want to give an update. @scrappinginontario I am happy to report as of this Halloween morning the food court is at least 80% opened . In fact I just spent 20 minutes chatting with 3 different managers of the resort. They were walking through the food court and asked how we were enjoying our stay. All three beverage islands are opened and the old purple seating section still needs to be completed. But all else is good. And you can enter from the store now. That's opened. I am not good with pictures though so maybe someone else can share those Sorry. If I think of anything else I will post later.

LaThank you for the update @didilovesdisney!! I’ll update post 1 soon. Appreciate this info! Thanks for sharing it here!!

Now the real question…can I justify the flight from Canada purely to take pics of the renovations??? 🤣 My first thought is, ‘Yes!!’ until I check the bank account. 😉
Well I truly am sorry I am not tech savvy on doing pics. Oh but I also noticed the arcade is back to normal. No additional tables needed now. I will post some interesting tidbits later on my conversation with the General Manager and food and beverage manager. I will say the food court looks great.

Hey, you did great! All the info you provided - and tidbits you will provide, are greatly appreciated!

I'm just always looking for an excuse to return to Disney. :)

Oh I failed to mention earlier that there's also one food station still being worked on also. Not sure what's going to be served there though. I hope ice cream. I did tell the General Manager I would love to see the dole whip return. LOL

I get there next Wednesday, I'll try and remember to grab some pics if no one has by then.

Excited it's open from the store already, I'd hoped it would be for my trip but figured it wouldn't be.

Yes your pics will be great. I am good at getting helpful information but not so good at posting pics. You will love the new food court. I was so glad when they opened more of it 2day and also the entrance through the store now.

Well like I posted earlier I had an interesting conversation with the General Manager and food and beverage manager here at Pop. They stopped by our table asking how our stay was going. I told them was pleasantly surprised with opening almost all the food court. They asked my thoughts and of course I said loved it but the busy table tops take a couple of days to get used too. I said I guess Pop won't be getting anymore refurbishment for awhile and the GM said actually late next spring they will be doing a soft goods refurbishment on the rooms which will take months. A hard goods refurbishment won't happen for some years yet. He did say the next hard goods refurbishment may include a few more shower only rooms not firm on that though. Oh and I asked him if he knew what dates the skyliner would be down in January and he said they weren't planning a January shut down at least that's what he was told. BUT @scrappinginontario please don't post that on page one because I don't know if that's official. Things change daily at Disney LOL but that would make alot of people happy if that is true. Like I said I am not sure about that. Like I said this isn't info that is official and can't be posted on page one but I found it interesting and wanted to share with anyone who loves Pop Century like I do.

Thanks! Wonder what ‘soft goods’ might entail? Not sure they’d be part of it but I would love to see Keurig coffee makers in the rooms!

I won’t post anything about the Skyliner and honestly I’ll be shocked if they don’t shut down for their annual maintenance. To me the Skyliner is like a car and requires regular maintenance that just can’t be done when it’s running 15+ hours a day. Time will tell.

Also, no need to be concerned about the information on page one being updated based on rumour or speculation. We want this thread to be a reliable source of current information so the informational posts are not updated until valid proof of what is being said can be verified.

Thanks for easing my mind. I admit I hesitated posting the info the GM told me because it wasn't official and speculation and especially since I have been following the skyliner closure thread I was concerned someone might read what I posted and think it was official info. Hopefully not. I just found what the GM told me interesting and wanted to share. As for the soft goods refurbishment all he said was it was going to be a minor refresh that would be subtle and may not notice much of a difference. Although I would love a keurig in the room also I am not hopeful on that. If I see the GM again I will put in that request. He did say if I had any suggestions or questions to let him know. If I come across any more info I will be sure to share with you all. Oh I will say the food court is much brighter than before. Lot more lighting. Unfortunately during the day with them working I really can't hear and enjoy the music. But that soon won't be an issue. I just make sure to stop back in for awhile at night. LOL.
