Skyliner hours are listed in the Resort Times Guide that is only available at the WDW Resorts-hours are not listed in the Park Times Guides.

Great to see the Skyliner hours in the times guide, but those hours just aren't good enough. Now with the cuts to buses, I'm not even confident about making it to DHS before park opening for a boarding group. Sure, I could take lyft, but my DHS day is Marathon Sunday, and considering road closures, the Skyliner would streamline everything.

The buses run more frequently when the Skyliner isn't operating. So early morning buses should be no different than they were before the change. During the day, however, you will definitely want to take the Skyliner vs. waiting for the once/hour bus.

I believe the challenge @hotblooded is expressing is that the day they want to go to DHS is a marathon day so traveling via Skyliner over the roads is much easier than hoping a bus can get through the traffic and road closures on a marathon day.

Like @Iowamomof4 said, hours for early morning buses (pre SkyLiner opening) should be running exactly like they are right now. That said @scrappinginontario made a very valid point about the SkyLiner would help with avoiding Marathon crowds.

Sadly, while getting to DHS should greatly increase your chances for a boarding pass it won’t guarantee your will get a boarding pass that’s early enough. Hopefully it was just a busy week, last week, but BGs were full in a matter of minutes and I saw more than a few people who got there really early but got lower BGs, like 160-200 range or even missing out, because they were having issue logging in to grab there BGs. With my limited research, if you have have a few people in your party you should all try getting BPs at the same time trying different ways, like Disney WiFi, cell service, having the app open early and having someone launch there’s the second they open. That should increase your chances of getting a better BG! Since we don’t go until early July I stoped researching the process, for now, because it could be completely different then. Who knows, maybe we will get lucky and the SkyLiners might start much earlier by then? 🤞

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks for clarifying!

My boyfriend and I have three phones with three different carriers between us. Thanks for the great advice!

Is anyone there now that can say if they have seen both the skyliner and star wars refillable mugs? The ones that cost $10 to upgrade to. Thanks!
We got the skyliner one 3 weeks ago. They were plentiful. I don't recall seeing a Star Wars mug.

Do we know what changes they're making to the pool area?
I don’t know about the pool itself but I believe there will be changes to the Petals bar based on conversations with bartenders in Sept. I didn’t get any real specifics other than vague updates to setup as well as the possibility of adding a refillable mug station.

Wow that seems late for pool opening
I agree. I think what’s throwing a loop into things is that with the Hippy Dippy closing I had hoped they would have shifted one of the other pools to a 10AM opening. Maybe they still will snd it’s just not advertised yet?

We were at Pop in Jan 2018 and even 10am seemed late when I was just trying to squeeze in a promised swim before heading to the parks. 8pm closings meant we never hit those either. I found with later pool openings and earlier park closings in Jan, it was harder to fit it all in as opposed to our normal Sep trips with earlier pool openings and later park closings.

I am really hoping this is true! I don't want to pay for uber to DHS to join a BG just because I missed the "hourly" bus and Skyliner isn't yet running.

Great idea for joining a BG! I'm super stressed we will have technical difficulties the morning of

I am very interested to know this as well. I will be there in 4 weeks and would love to have the Skyliner one.

Would also be interested even though our trips in July. Just looked them up and like the fact that they are vacuum sealed stainless steel which should keep drinks cool longer and don’t have the handle. I think I’d be much more likely to use them at home, after WDW, than the current mugs.

We will have 5 refillable mugs when we go and I kinda like the idea of having different mugs for each of us. Can‘t remember if the current resort mugs have different versions, or at least a few different top colors? I’ve got a purple and red top from previous trips, I could bring, any other suggestions to make it easier to differentiate multiple mugs?

Yeah, saw the suggestion on a blog this weekend and thought it could be useful.
I stoped researching it because it was also starting to get me nervous about our morning and our trip isn’t until July. :rotfl: Also realized that there’s a good chance the process will be different then, so I was just wasting my time.
