Yes, all buildings at Pop have elevators. they are usually in the center of the building (where the three prongs of the 'T' intersect).

Yes, there are elevators, but Pop is "motel style" in the sense that there are no interior hallways. Your room will open to the outside walkway.

Yes it does, in every building, so no worries. I still remember my first time to WDW, staying at CBR with a heavy stroller and got assigned to an upstairs room. I dragged that stroller up and down every day of our 8 day trip.

Yeah, none of the buildings at WDW resorts that are only 2 floors, Alligator Bayou section at Riverside, some buildings at Old Key West and all of CBR have elevators.

I like that better. I find the interior hallways rather confining and sometimes dark and creepy (like at the Poly). Like during my last trip 2 months ago, I was assigned to the 4th floor at Pop where as I walk down the hallway everyday, I see the scenery all around me, I see fireworks at Epcot and HS, I see the Hourglass Lake, I see the trees, the running path, the gondola station, the giant yoyo, I see lightning and feel the fresh breeze. It's like walking along one long balcony with Disney magic all around! It is so much better! I also stayed at Beach Club where there's carpet in the hallway. It was a long walk to my room from the lobby and dragging our luggage through all that soft carpet was OK but not cool, (made my teens do it, so it was OK for me ). And what do you see? Doors, doors, and more doors. I really missed the walkway in Pop!

I didnt think MNSSHP was any more crowded this year.
Remeber the first party is generally more busy with lots of blogger/bloggers that are trying to get as much info as they can to get that info out to people like us.
Personally I'd never pay for more than the party ticket.

And the interior hallways are so much louder.

Been back almost a week now and wanted to give some feedback from a “deluxe” girl. I have stayed at every deluxe except YC, all mods and every value except movies. We decided on Pop for this trip after a one night stay following BC villas in Feb. We were there 6 nights and received room 4148. It was shower only with no connecting door. I requested 60’s, we had standard booked. The location was great. It was a little noisy since its pretty close to the pool. We brought our noise machine and used it at night so it wasn’t horrible. The room was cleaned adequately and plenty of room for 3. I did hit my knees on the beds the 1st night but then adjusted. My DH ran the path between Pop and AoA and we took the AOA bus several times and the walk was 7 minutes to our room. From Pop bus stop I guess it was like half that. We are pretty fast walkers. Didn’t hear the toilets from other rooms but did here our neighbors door opening and closing over and over late at night for whatever reason. We never did see them during the stay. Buses were fine, no big complaints here. Overall, we would do it again. We mostly stayed deluxe in past bc we are a family of 5 but all the kiddos are grown so we have more options. I did miss just having some quiet places to sit and drink my coffee and not having a balcony. I sat by the lake a couple of times and it was pretty quiet. Any questions please let me know and thanks for your help!

We were almost at the end of the hallway, maybe the third last. We could see the fireworks at Epcot in the distance from our window facing north, or stand outside in the hallway, look to the left, and see fireworks at HS, which was much closer. We could also see the gondola station's construction very clearly.

Based on your excellent description you were in room 4458.

I hope it won’t be the case but once the gondolas open I can see them shifting the room categories and these rooms becoming Preferred View rooms. I’ve always been surprised that these perfect, quiet rooms with a beautiful view of the lake, nearness to Classic Hall and the buses and close proximity to AoA were standard in the first place. Time will tell.

Yes, Friday purchases for a Sunday checkout should be just fine. Personally any purchases made Saturday or later I wouldn't ship to the resort but Friday should be fine.

We did something similar. They told us it will be at the resort by 3 the next day. We did it at pop and beach club and never had any problems. One of the days we sent stuff back to beach club and we were checking out two days later. I never sent anything the day before check out though.

I've always found it odd that that many rooms in the 50s, 60s and 70s are not called "Preferred view" even though they face the lake. They are absolutely beautiful, quiet, close to everything, and they are called standard rooms! Basically, Pop doesn't charge extra for lake view. You'd think they would.

Maybe Preferred at Pop has to do with location (close to Classic Hall and pools) rather than view. SSR is similar — the two sections that were most often requested due to location (near DS or near the main building) were designated as Preferred even though the rooms themselves don’t have a nice view.

PS don’t give Disney ideas re designating more rooms as Preferred and raising the rates on them!

Yes, Friday purchases for a Sunday checkout should be just fine. Personally any purchases made Saturday or later I wouldn't ship to the resort but Friday should be fine.

They do not get delivered to your room. They will be available for pick up in the resort gift shop anytime after 3pm the day after purchase.

We will have the refillable mugs with free dining on our upcoming trip. What morning beverages are available for the mug at the Everything Pop food court (coffee, tea, sweetener, creamer)? Is it any better than in room coffee?
