I would like to know this also. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for a preferred king room can you let me know? It's just my husband and I this trip. We would like a king bed. Thanks

To maximize your chances, I would make a king room your only request.

Does anyone know what rooms have been refurbished or what schedule they are following? It's just my DD and I and one of the refurbished rooms would give us a lot more space to move around. I also like the idea of the coffee maker in the room!

To help your chances I would make "refurbed room" your only request.

That's a great suggestion @dansdad. Do you have any idea if/where there might be a list of refurbed rooms? I would like one but would choose proximity to the main building over a refurbed room if it meant a looong walk to and from our room.

This may be a strange question about POP, but do they have french fries in their food court? I looked at their menu on allears.net and didn't see french fries as an option. We haven't been to this resort for about four years and I just wanted to check.

This new room maybe ok for two adults or a family of four with small children. I'm not sure about older children or an additional adult in that pull down bed.

I can't recall if they had fries! I do see an entree of fish & chips so one would guess that means there are some, but last summer I don't recall getting fries ever there.

The one time my daughter got a burger, it wasn't her favorite menu item. We did enjoy a lot of other things, like the chicken parmesan type entree with pasta and the sesame chicken.

I apologize for not reading through the entire thread... but can anyone tell me if rooms currently have an iron?

I have skimmed through and tried searching but didn't see an answer specifically for POP. Are we allowed to decorate the door and/or the window like we did on DCL or is this frowned upon? If so, will magnets stick to the doors? Are there any other guidelines? (Obviously, I wouldn't use any adhesives that would damage the door.) Thanks! My DD19 wants to decorate if it's allowed.

Yes, the rooms have an ironing board and an iron from what I recall.

I see folks decorating the inside of the window with suction cups - it's cute! I may do that next trip. Not sure if I recall anyone decorating their doors, but definitely the windows are popular.

I use window clings on my window and I have a dry erase board that I put on the door. It's always fun to see what "neighbors" write on the dry erase board. I have even had a few other Dissers write on my board before!

When I stayed there in Jan 2015 they had french fries.

I may have to do this!

Why wouldn't an adult be ok in the pull down bed? it looks like the ones in the suites at AoA and those are a standard double bed -- same size bed that's currently in the Pop rooms. My adult son is sleeping on the pull down bed in an AoA suite right now and it's fine for 1 or 2 adults.

Earlier in the thread someone mentioned that the pictures were from a test room and that refurbishment hasn't actually gotten underway. If anyone is there right now or is going soon it would be greatly appreciated if you guys could keep an eye or ear out for these changes and let us know.
Our trip to pop will be in December so I'm hoping by then there are quite a few rooms that have been refurbished and we can get into one of those :). Glad pop is getting some love either way though

Hi, all! I'm flirting again with POP for my next trip. My prospective dates would be in the early February value season. I know there are usually room discounts for that time - are POP preferred rooms usually discounted? By how much? Thanks!

The Pop rooms normally are included but which ones tends to be based on availability st the time the offer is made available. I would guess for Feb you're looking Sept/Oct for those deals to start.

Discounts for value rooms is normally 15%.

Just a quick question... We have 1 night booked through Orbitz and then 8 nights booked through Disney. We would like to stay in the same room if at all possible. What is the best way to request this at Pop? I see there is no space to put comments for online check in. Anyone done this before?
