Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

We check into Pop on Saturday for our first ever stay in a value! We've visited the resort before but it was years ago. I'm anxious and excited at the same time!

Mickeystoontown please post on here when your vacation is over to tell about your Pop experience. My daughter and I are going in July and staying at Pop for the first time.

I will definitely post my thoughts and review on the resort. We are doing a split stay (another first for us) and will be staying at Pop for 6 nights and then 8 nights at CBR.

My one request is added already, but I thought someone pages back (or another thread) mentioned how faxing makes them look at your reservation again or really try to accommodate your request

Nope. Other than POR and POFQ, most faxes go unread unless the room assigners happen to be caught up. Which almost never happens.

I get my requests met EVERY time because I SNAIL MAIL my requests and NOBODY else does that!

I think the Room Assignors are so "impressed" that someone would take the time to do that that they make sure to fill the requests.

Folks can scoff if they like,but I have a 100 % success rate since I started doing this.

I would not use the luggage tags and instead retrieve my luggage after arrival. You can bring it to Magical Express with you (many people do so).

Honestly, It's not really a big deal if we don't get our luggage until the next morning, as I will have what we need for that night/next morning in our carry on, I would much rather have somebody else deal with getting our luggage from the airport to the hotel (that was one of the perks I was really excited about). I'm going to have 2 tired kiddos, and I don't want to wait around for luggage, then lug it to the bus, just to lug it to the room. No thanks. I was just wondering how long it generally does take if one has a flight that arrives at 9pm. As long as I will get it at some point the next day, we'll be fine. We'll probably get to the hotel and crash. We'll just need our toiletries and a change of clothes to get us through.

I have a question about cases of water. Some think it's available at Pop, but others stated they couldn't find it. Can I buy a case of bottled water, where, and how much? Thanks for your help

In Everything Pop they are $6.69 for twenty-four 12oz bottles. If they are not out on the floor ask to speak to the store Manager. My Cousin is there right now and purchased 2 cases when they checked in on Monday.

I don't know if you guys know but the Pop is going under refurb as permits have been filed. The refurbishment will last until December 2017. Here is the look of the new rooms.

So if you pull the second bed down, you won't have a table anymore?? I don't like that so much. I wonder if all the rooms will be like that?

Yeah, that bothers me. I like to put out my stuff for the next morning on the table overnight. Can't do that if the table is my bed.
I love the overall aesthetic, but I hope there's another table hidden there somewhere.

Love it!

I had heard about new rooms being "tested" at POP,but didn't know they had the "green light" to proceed.

Hopefully,the All-Star Resorts are next.

Yeah, I would miss the table too. I wonder if the regular bed is a queen?

Maybe that is just one of the "test rooms" and not the one chosen?
