Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Hey everyone! First time booking at POP for November! We got a preferred room, and I'm excited to see this resort. We've stayed at POFQ, ASMovies, and will be staying at the Poly this May, so I can't wait to add this resort to the list! Thank you for this thread, and for all of the awesome information!

How many free outlets are available in the rooms at POP? I'm assuming packing a power strip will be a good idea to charge electronics/cell phones...but just want to make sure before taking up packing space if it isn't needed.

I used TouringPlans. For US it was worth the $9 for the crowd calendar and the Fax service.

i believe there is an outlet by each bed plus the one by the sink, but we always take a power strip just in case. depends on how many people you have and how many things each person needs to charge.

I am pretty sure you have to book a handicap room, not just request one.

Just booked FD back at POP Sept 13-20! We stayed here in 2013 and loved it. Stayed in 70's and think I'm going to request it again. Can't wait to see what's changed.

I'm still debating on staying here or at ASMovies since I would prefer the theming of ASMovies, but the rooms seem to be nicer and bigger at Pop. I still have a while to decide though

Sadly, no. It is my go to, and I did order a bottle with my Garden Grocer order, just to have some during my week. I did Coke or sweet tea instead with my mug.

We brought a multi charger that we got on clearance at Target, with two plugs and two usb spots for phones and portable chargers.

Plus Pop has dedicated buses and is close to AoA which has once of the best resort food courts.

Agreed! My subscription to touringplans has definitely been worth it. The app is great (wait times, chat, menus etc.) and the room finder feature (with individual room views) is also useful.

I've seen it mentioned that there are smoking areas around the 50s buildings. Has anyone else noticed these. Was considering requesting connecting rooms in the 50s but didn't want to be around smoking due to allergies.

Pop Century is definitely a great choice, but just so you know the room sizes at Movies and Pop are identical, and I think you can expect the "niceness" of the rooms is going to be the same as well.

I will admit, I was not a fan of the fencing when I first saw it in December. I'm just not sure about the green fence around the Hippy Dippy pool. But I'm glad you don't need to scan your magic band to get in and out.

Checking into POP tonight. Woohooo.. can't wait to see if we got the room we requested. I am curious to see if the Touringplans fax option works.
