Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

got stuck in the furtherst 90s building almost in the furthest room away;
Sorry that happened to you! I think if that was to happen to me, I'd politely ask for a different room in a different bldg closer to the food court & transportation. Usually the CM checking you in will show you where the room is on the resort map. That's when I speak up before I trek out the far reaches of the property. Last Fall, despite making my online request for a room in the 50s section, top floor, lake view, they placed me in the far reaches of the 90s and exclaimed, "you are so lucky. You get a king bed." I explained that I was happy to give up the King for a room closer to the action. The CM did just that & I was back in the 50s, top flr, lake view. While room requests are requests only, most CMs will try hard to make you happy. I have never booked a preferred room.

If you are driving the 50's section is very convenient. The parking lot on the far side of the resort closest to the 50's section is far less busy than the big parking lot in front of the main building.

Random question - is there honey offered in the food court for tea, like sugar is, or should I bring my own?

I just booked my 21yo daughter on her first solo trip at Pop for 3/21-24!! She has never done a solo trip before, but Pop is our home away from home, so I know she will be comfortable there. We have another Pop trip scheduled at the end of May with my mom....we love Pop!!

Anyone ship a package to Pop recently and can give some feedback? We are thinking about sending a UPS package from home (packed ourself) to the resort, but it went horribly at All Star Sports. So much so, that I thought about just checking an extra bag instead.

Sent one today (only by FedEx not UPS) and I arrive this weekend. Can update you soon!!
Did the same thing with Movies (this past December) and it was a MAJOR PITA!!!! I told them they needed to go hunt it down, it had medical supplies I needed!!
Have shipped to POP before (as recently as this past July) and have not had any issues.

Thanks, I look forward to your report. When I shipped to All Star Sports, they also had to "find" it. I had done 2 day UPS, so it had been signed for and received. Well, long story short, the same day I was flying down to checkin, the All Star off site package warehouse mistakenly put my package back out for UPS to return to us at our house. So we got it when we got back home, I had to call a neighbor to take it! Nightmare! It had medical stuff my Mom needed.
I had shipped to Pop two times with no problems, but I think their packages stay at Pop, and not miles away like the All Stars.

Hi - me again. I really appreciate everyone's help. Does preferred pool view literally mean I can open my door and see the hippy dippy pool?

Yes, absolutely!! Check out the map below!

Yes, although if you are near the bridge, you might open your door and see the kiddie pool area.
No, that is not correct. You are only in front of the Hippy Dippy Pool. The rooms in front of the kiddie pool are just Preferred view....
You'll also hear it.
True, but at least now that the TRULY close the pools it isn't nearly as bad. Before when they allowed after hours swimming, it could be very noisy well into the wee hours of the morning. Now, that is not the case at all.

There are three rooms on each floor in both the 60's building that are listed as preferred pool, that look on to the kiddie pool section when you look at touring plans room views. On your map, they are listed as preferred, but on touring plans, they are listed as preferred pool. I don't know if this information is correct or not. But that's how they are listed.
