Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

No bus monitors at POP as of today, just a bunch of football (soccer) teams filling up the DHS buses tonight. We ended up busing to Epcot and going to DHS from there. Waiting for Fantasmic now :)

Has anyone seen the bus schedule monitors at POP? I have ready about people seeing them at other resorts. Thanks so much!
I have never noticed them. I have seen them at the moderates a few times. M

I am hoping they get the bus monitors before we go again. It seems like such a great idea!

I actually found the bus monitors to be not so accurate, but I only saw them while visiting other resorts. I like it better when there is a cast member around who manually (either with a pen or with an ipad, I can't remember) keeps track and radios for a bus when needed.

I prefer flat pillows. I always take DH old pillows. I can't stand new ones. LoL

A few questions as I am staying at POP for the first time...

If I want a lakeview, upper floor room in the 60's section, what are my 2 best options to pick when it comes to online check-in? Lakeview and 60's? Is there a 'write in' section that will allow me to be state my 3rd request?
-OR would 70's section lakeview, upper floor, building 6 be better and closer to transportation and main building?
-Ahh I can't decide which section I want! I just know i want a lakeview, upper floor, close to main building! It would probably help to know that im in a standard room.
I have looked at room views on touringplans and just can't decide.

Also can someone tell me how we'll get from Pop to the Poly using the Disney transportation? Am i correct in assuming we will take the bus to MK and hop on the resort monorail from there? And what about DTD to the POLY, (incase we spend to much time there and need to leave from DTD instead of Pop)?

Last question I promise (at least for now)... Using your magic band, do pp pictures, ride photos, and ride videos still get added and can be viewed on your MDE account, even if you don't purchase memory maker?

Thanks so much in advance!

Request upper floor 60's, since all Standard rooms in the 60's are Lakeview.

Disneylover99 is correct, all standard rooms in 60's are lakeview :thumbsup2 but with that being said, 60's top floor and 50's top floor lakeview are the most requested rooms at POP so they may be the hardest to get. Remembering that these are only requests and not guaranteed will help if you don't end up getting the room requests that you made. 70's lakeview is going to be a little closer to the main building but only by a couple of minutes so that wouldn't make much of a difference. Anything on the top floor, you will need to allow a couple of extra minutes for elevator time or you can always take the stairs. If your main choices are lakeview, top floor, then you may want to just check those 2 boxes. That would give the room assigner the options of building 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (and then hope you don't get building 2 since that is a pretty long trek after a long day at the parks :faint:). Our favorite rooms we have been assigned in our past 8 trips have been rooms 6413, 6414, and 6415 . 4 years ago we traveled with 2 other families and added adjoining rooms to our reservation and checked 50's, lake view during on line check in. We were assigned adjoining rooms, lakeview in building 6. They were close to the main building(and would have been closer if we were on the ground floor), they had a great view of both the lake and one of the giant yo-yo's (sooo cute) and we could stand outside our room and look to the right and watch the fireworks at Epcot if we were back at the resort in time. The room assigners really try to match your requests but unfortunately it all depends on what is available when you check in and all the other requests that have checked in before you.
:tink:Pixie dust for the perfect room for you!

The easiest way to get from POP to Poly is bus to MK and walk to the monorail and take it to the Poly. From DTD just jump on the Poly bus.

I have never bought memory maker so I can't answer your last question so hopefully someone else will chime in :disrocks:

Does anyone know the dimensions of the window? I want to make a happy birthday sign for dd.

Trying to pass the time until our trip. ADRs, FP+, and on-line check in are all done. Tick-tock.......

Thanks for the suggestions! And duh! Why didn't I think of getting to poly from Dtd that way?! Totally had a brain fart!
And I guess that's what I meant, if I don't have memory maker like you didn't, can I still see all my photos on my mde account? Could you still see all your photos even though you didn't purchase memory maker?

We never stopped at a photographer. Crazy, huh? We just take our own pics. We did go to the free Visa Character Meet n Greet and they gave us a card with our number on it to turn in at the photo shop to pick up our pictures. Still no help. i'm so sorry:o

Where do I find out info on this? I just got my disney visa and want to tAke advantage if it :)

Also: ground floor rooms- do they all have external doors? Thinking this would be great for being able to sit outside after kids are asleep...doable? I mean I've sat in the hallway of great wolf lodge just outside our room with beer, uno, and the baby monitor but outside at WDW sounds better lol. Especially if we were to luck out with a lake view!
