Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

I’m not sure where I would even get a TA from. It would be nice to have that option for such a cheap room. Our psd package isn’t too bad though.

Just do an internet search of disney travel agents, and you'll get a bunch of them. I could name some off yhe top of my head, but wasn't sure if I could post them here. Sometimes forums and message boards have weird rules about that.

I will say, after comparing the Disney TA results with my own researched results, there wasn't much difference in price totals. They might be experts, but do your own due diligence and you should be fine booking your own trip!

Yes, good idea. I tried doing a private message to Haley R but don't really know how to do it, and I created something that took out the website I gave her.....oops!
Haha I got it. I've tried doing just a price quote with the official Disney TA and haven't gotten a response. I've tried this one or two times before just to see how expensive my trip would be. I ended up just booking both on my own since I never heard back. I wasn't sure if you used the official Disney TAs or booked through a different company. That's why I asked. Do you have to pay them a fee?

No, you do not. They get paid by Disney. If you run across a TA that asks for a fee upfront...that's not an officially licensed Disney TA. Move on.

Recently I wanted the kind of agency exclusive discount that people here mention. Google was my friend. I saved a lot at Poly spring break. I could have saved at Pop, too, but we wanted a preferred room. I recently got the AP discount, though, so I did manage to save twice!

A legit Disney TA would not charge a fee. They get a commission from Disney.

Just a reminder that this board that we enjoy and chat on is owned and operated by Dreams Unlimited Travel. They are a Disney travel agency.

I think out of respect to them for offering us such a great place to chat, learn and ask questions, we should cease the chat about how to find other travel agencies. We are all here by choice but we are here because Dreams Unlimited hosts and makes this amazing site available to us.

And just as a reminder.

If I'm not mistaken isn't the Dis boards run by a travel agency, Dreams Unlimited?

I didnt pay a fee but maybe they figure it in the quote...it still saved me quite a bit of money.

I used the TA that offers great discounts and I put trip on Disney Visa to take advantage of the "6 months 0% interest" offer but when I got my card statement the trip was not listed with this promotion. I called Visa and was told offer only applies to vacations booked directly with Disney Travel and does not apply if you book through "3rd party TA".

I use a Disney "Earmarked" Travel Agent and our trips are always eligible for the 6 month/0% interest on our Disney Visa. I guess the "Earmarked" agents must technically be part of Disney Travel.

I wonder if it would save me money compared to the PSD deal. Did you add the dining plan?
Yes, we added the dining plan and paid for that. We also got park hopper passes. But the discount was for the room, and we saved more than the PSD. I know this because when we first called that morning for PSD, they offered me Music Resort, and we didn't want to stay there. We would have saved $ 500.00 to book Music. We already had POP reserved. She saved us more than that offer. But their offers are also limited, so when they come out you have to get on it right away. It's worth checking into for the future.
