Does it look like this........

Yes! At least the trunk and branches do. But the flowers in your picture seem to be more complex; the flowers here are waxy and more "open". I'll go with rhododendron trees, though. That seems right. Thank you!

You're welcome. There are many more looks, I just picked one from google images.

Hope you are having a magical stay!!

The brand of detergent in the laundry is a no-name brand of free and clear at a dollar a box.

Any horticulturists out there know about this beautiful tree I've been noticing around, this trip? It's in quite a few places but most noticeably in the round at each foot of the Friendship Bridge. The leaves look like those on a rhododendron, but these are trees not bushes. They have the most beautiful white flowers, which start a huge buds and open into 9 (?) petals. And they have these interesting seed pods. I'd like to add a pix but I'm challenged that way.

Crepe Myrtle is what we have at my house that looks similar to the rhododendron posted before me. They have tree and shrub varieties.

How quick does Pop Century get fully booked? We're trying to book 2/8 - 2/15 (2018), but the search result is "This room type is unavailable for the
dates, party size or offer selected". Seems to be the same at all the other Value resorts as well. Is it possible that the resort is sold out already???

I had the same problem trying to book 2/4 - 2/10 for 2018. At first there were no rooms when I looked a couple weeks ago. Then I ended up checking again because this is where we want to stay more than anyplace else and suddenly I was able to get a preferred pool room - we want a standard. I booked the pool view because it was showing no availability on the standard rooms for that week. Yet, oddly enough when I checked again the following week there suddenly were standard rooms open and we switched our reservation over to that. I would say just try again and keep checking - cause we were just having this same problem. I found it hard to believe it would be booked up so fast for that time period and it had me panicked. But I kept trying and eventually rooms were there to book. Seems like it's maybe a glitch or something.

does anyone have an informationn on which buildings are completed, and which are being worked on etc... construction schedule.. We are booked 8/29 and hoping for a new room... do I have this correct, 80s and 90s are done?

Here now, but I don't know the future schedule. 90s are done (that's where our room is) but they're working on 80s buildings on both sides of the pool down to the Potato Heads.

Building 8 in the 90's is complete and open to guests. There are rumors that building 9 will open on 7/24 and building 7 on 8/14 but no official word or confirmation on those dates from Disney. But I wouldn't expect to hear anything official from Disney...their "official word" tends to be when a guest reports that they've been assigned a room in that particular building. :)

How are the tour groups at the hotel?
Awful. That's how we ended up in a refurbished room. We were assigned to 10, the groups showed up and started chanting in front of the big wheel before they even went to their rooms, and I quickly went to the front desk to get outta there. The location now has no groups and we're facing the landscaping/parking lot. And we stay in the quiet pool, and we go to the food court in the off hours.

Thank you. I just switched to Coronado for $300 more total. Even though the theme doesn't appeal to us not having to deal with tour groups does.

I think that they might be Magnolia Trees. We always love seeing them around Orlando. The seed pods are really neat!

Thats it! That's exactlybwhat they are (I looked it up on Google photos). Thank you! They are so beautiful...

Does anyone know what brand of laundry detergent they have in the vending machine? I can't tolerate the smell of Tide. When I was at CBR a few years ago they had Whisk, but I know they've stopped making it. I'd rather just buy it there if at all possible. TIA
I have no idea what brand it is. I always pack a few pods in a small Rubbermaid container in my check on luggage.

I have no idea, sorry, but I once bought laundry detergent sheets for travel. They worked great.

I have been looking for these, but haven't seen them. I usually take pods or pre-measured powder. Recently, I filled an empty, cleaned out body wash container with the liquid for our road trip.

Mine were Purex. I still have them in a ziploc. I swore off laundry on vacation since. LOL.

I can't find them online now except for ebay and Amazon charging so much for them! You can find other brands on Amazon. Target has one brand but it is listed as Laundry Strips, and all the reviews seem to be from people that got it free. I don't usually trust those reviews. :rolleyes2

Thanks! I'll stick with what we do now (and we normally don't do laundry on vacation anyway).
